That would be ideal. It would also require two different developement efforts -- different mechanics, balancing, troubleshooting -- which would add production costs. Perhaps it would be worth it to the devs: I know that it would make a lot folks happy around here .
It runs fine on my iPad Air with iOS 9. But sometimes it crashes on the first startup. Start it again and it works every time. It still crashes after a few races though, but not dreadfully often.
Ridiculous that the game uses your Game Center name to force a name onto your profile and then you can't change it. If you sign in with facebook you can't change your name from guest.
I usually don't care about online only, but when I see a reconnect to server pop-up for the 4th time in 30 minutes, I'm done.
Hehe.. We have quite a touchy crowd here, as usual.. I paid 5.00 for the starter pack so that I can rent this game that has no cockpit view, requires constant internet connection, and occasional server hick-ups.. Pretty bad ass lil racing game, if you ask me. It does use a lot of battery though, I will say that..
Glad that you like the game (explanation : appart from being indie with my partner Sylvain at Usual Makers, I am working on Gear.Club at Eden Games too.)
I love the game so far. But I am only level 8 and seem to hit something like a "soft" paywall already. I have an A1, an A2 and the free Dodge. I have been racing almost all there is for those cars and was just able to afford some upgrades with not much money left. B1 cars are already very expensive, either in gold or in-game currency. Upgrades also get more expensive and most of the time you really need them. New series only pay good money the first time you win them. Later on they pay relatively little. This looks like grinding, grinding, grinding without end, or just pay hard cash. I don't mind paying for stuff like ad-free, or coin-doubler or things like that. But buying cars with real money is ridiculously expensive. And there is always the next car.
Yes, I stand corrected.. Campaign mode, in its self, is enormous.. Then you have all the other goodies on top of that (customizations, upgrades, several classes of cars, hourly challenges, varied tracks set in beautiful geographical locations, etc.) and this game is really quite large. Even if I just log in for a few minutes each day, hit up a race or two, do a few upgrades, etc.. I will, very easily, get my values worth out of this one..
You are going to have to spend some money. I say wait for a special deal, one that includes a car a ton gold -- I got one for $4.99. I'l be playing this for a while, and I can easily see myself spending $4-5 a month on it. The thing is, if I spend that much, I will be playing the game way more than most $60 console/pc games I've bought in the past (never mind the impulse Steam sales games that I haven't even touched). The moment I'm done with the game, I'm not spending another dime. Make of that what you will.
I am the same way.. I like to spend a little bit here and there.. I got the starter pack, and may, or may not, buy anything else. I am fairly frugal, so I always make sure I am getting 'value' from my purchases. This is FTP done right, imo. At this point, I can quit at any time and not feel cheated. Back, now, to some more racing. edited.. : I was wrong, cars get hella expensive later in the game. This is still a very fun game, it's just that the ftp is not really dont right. I do stand corrected.
well.. I had to delete the game for a minute. When I redownloaded, all progress was lost. I was level 8 with appox 5,000 in gold and over 200,000 in money, and it's all gone now.. I sent a msg to support, hopefully they can fix this. My account was linked to FB, and of course GC.
