Did the 'set date' thingy? It works fine for me, even after updating to 7.0.6. Also tried the DS Emulator but that feels a bit sloppy and controls aren't as good it seems.
Oh, I didn't set the date back.. OP wasn't clear on that, should've added in the thread title. I use NDS4iOS (jail broken) works perfectly with controller support
All this 'set the time back' stuff, it always was on the original GBA4iOS page. Same for previous emulators on that original page
I'm gonna be that guy, and point out that directly above the download link at the site it says to roll the date back. If you go to the main iemulators page (as you might have for nds4ios), it discusses date rollbacks there too.
Hopefully this is a joke. But if not... Set your date back before Feb 2014 before launching the app. After you launch it successfully, you can set your date to automatic again and it will work fine. You'll need to repeat this after every reboot of your phone. Also, the page of comments above your post all addressed this.
Is the reboot thing an iPhone issue? I've restarted my iPad a couple of times since this launched, and hadn't had to change my date.
Theres plenty of posts here of people who are enjoying it. If you seriously are that paranoid then i wouldnt bother installing
Has anyone had any luck with cheat codes for pokemon Emerald (or any game to be fair)?Everytime I activate one it crashes the rom at some point.Ive started a thread in general for anyone that's got any cheats working to put them in to maybe compile a list?
I'm on a iPhone 5 and didn't have to set the date back either after a reboot. I just had to set the date back when installing the app and at the first boot of the app, never since.
So I decided to install. I know I have to put the date back, but how do I make sure other apps (tiny tower, pocket trains etc.) don't register the change. Will it still work if I put the date back or do you have to do it every time you want to play?
Once the app is running you can set the date back. Just keep it in the background as if you close it down you may have to do the 'date trick' again.
I think it's just hard for people to believe that it's actually THAT easy to pirate GBA games on their iOS device.
Could I use iFunbox to load one of my gameboy saves over to this app? Or should I use Dropbox? Any tips?
I think it is a reboot issue, at least on my 4S. I had the app crash instantly after it working perfectly. Then came here and figured out that it had to be me rebooting my phone. So hopefully, that just means needing to have it run in the background while doing a reboot because I've closed out of it numerous times and not had to redo the date trick. It had to be the reboot mixed in that causes it to flake out again. EDIT: Nope, that doesn't work. Even keeping it open during a reboot, it crashes instantly. So not sure what devices it affects but seems like I'll need to do the date trick any time I reboot. And now, I'll be minimizing the amount of reboots I do!
