Me too! It's fantastic imho. Shame about the PS3 pad though, sounds like I have some thinking to do about JB'ing my iPad Air. I also saw that, until recently, Retro Arch was another good way to play old games but the installation for that appears to have disappeared for non-JB users.
The PS3 controller works great for games on iOS that support MFi. While this emulator does have MFi support I haven't been able to get the PS3 controller working properly with it. It connects, but the controls are all wonky. I'll let you know if I get it working properly.
Hey Nintendo. Why dont you want to earn money? You force us download this emulator. I would gladly pay for perfect conversions of some nintendo classics.
My Game Boy Hidden Gem of the day is Gargoyle's Quest. And a bonus gem just because I love Picross - Mario's Picross
See, GBA emulation is hardly this magical thing that just started happening. It's going on for a quite a while, for Android devices and jailbroken iOS devices. Now, I understand the excitment in getting an emulator without jailbreaking, but that hardly means people should simply forget about standard features. I'm not saying they should keep b!tching about it either, mind you, but bringing up and asking about missing features that, again, are to be expected, should not be "discouraged", to use a gentler term.
For many people its brand new on their iOS devices though if they arent jailbroken so i'm sure theres a lot of excitement and not so bothered about other 'minor' things for now. Still you cant please everyone specially when its free ! Its a huge huge improvement over GBAiOS 1.6. Perhaps not 'discouraged' then but its depressing hearing people moan it doesnt have x or y feature when this has firstly just come out and is free. You just cant please people nowadays Yep great shout, thats one of the characters from Ghost n Goblins as well isnt it ?
It is. I saw your post yesterday and wasn't going to put it on my iPad2 but then I just thought I'd give it a shot and it works great. Tried with about 10 GBC and GBA games. Man I loved Perfect Dark.
Damn. That's great news. Sorry for the misinformation, I've got to try and figure out what I'm doing wrong. Or maybe it's because I'm using a mini? Not sure.
Any chance to add iCade also? Question: Can I change the screen size and the on-screen controller layout? Overlapping controls with the game screen is not exactly my cup of tea... SRW:OG 1&2 all the time!
I mean, can I change the screen size so the game screen does not overlap with the controls. I think I should consult the official page too.
Super Robot wars J for GBA and Super Robot Taisen for GB have been both translated by Aeon Genesis years ago , you should try those if you liked OG. Too bad there is no translation for SMG 2 rom though.
The controls arent overlapping though are they ? On portrait/landscape its all fine. Think the size of the screen is about right, be good if its a fraction bigger in landscape but i'm interested in how big the original gameboy screen was Just checked on wikipedia, the Gameboy had a screen size of 66mm (2.6 inches diagonal). In portrait mode it seems i think 2.6 inches diagonal, pretty impressive. Cant believe for so many years i used to play games on that small screen !
Quick tip: For anyone wondering how to search for roms outside of coolroms from within the app, just click on the back button on the bottom left corner after clicking on the + sign. It takes you back to google and you can just search anything from there.
I want to try it out but this may sound stupid, but I buy off amazon which means my debit card is saved onto amazon ....wouldn't this 3rd party if it's a hack job learn my debit card information?
