    I'm venting here, but anyhow:

I live in Munich, moved into a new apartment. Met the neighbors - they seem normal.

Except I just got an email from my landlord that indicates a neighbor turned me in for "improperly disposing of my garbage." [move-in boxes and stuff - I crushed them and tossed them in the garbage dumpster out back]

This "concerned neighbor" went as far as to take photographs of the offending boxes, with my shipping information to identify me.

    Seriously.

    WTF.

    /Venting.

It's hard to believe someone would be that concerned about a few boxes in a dumpster unless they happen to be a walking stereotype. The dumpsters for every apartment I've ever lived in have been surrounded by rotting furniture covered in trash bags ripped open by small animals. :p

    Thanks spamcam.

That picked me up quite a bit.

  7. Did you get in trouble or did your landlord not really care?

I had a neighbour who lived in a flat below me that used to switch my electricity off at night because my tapping (on my keyboard) was too loud. He would put his metal music on at 5am in revenge and even wrote to the local council about me. The sad part of it all? He never once told me about the problem. It would have created a much better relationship between us if he had directly contacted us first about the issue.

Some people just never mind their business, and love to accuse people of things when try see something worth accusing of. Even if it doesn't affect them in the least. That is just sad in my opinion. There used to be someone in my apartment that complained about me to the manager because I parked my bikes behind my car, in my own private stall, and never used them.

That is a time when you just say, seriously??!

I can hear people tying on the floor above me too, but I suspect that's because a) it's an ancient keyboard with big, clunky keys and b) the desk it's placed on has a drawer inside it, and being hollow it amplifies the noise like a drum.

  11. Yeah that was a long time ago with a clunky keyboard :D Although I naturally type loudly for some reason. I don't know why >_>

I actually have a netbook case under my keyboard now because my tapping reverberates off the desk, which makes a really irritating sound.
