This probably depends on the device you are playing on. With which device did you run your test? Edit: Yeah never mind. It was on the 3GS.
Yeah, I really wonder if they'll ever add a 3GS-only setting to increase the draw distance. I agree by default it's kind of low. I stole a sports car and it was tricky to dodge traffic because of that. Low draw distance is understandable though, it's one of the best way to increase framerate in most games.
Name for me games that have been short and bad controls from Gameloft. I'll bet you it'll be less than half their games, even 1/3 of their games. Terminator Salvation: short, good controls NFL 2010: no problem for me Brothers In Arms: clunky, but good campaign mode and ok controls Rise of the Lost Empires: short, but fun and good controls Asphalt 4: took me forever to beat the game, used to have good controls Ferrarri GT: good graphics, good campaign, good controls UNO: good graphics, very long campaign, online multiplayer Real Tennis: update has improved controls and difficulty, campaign mode is very long Real Soccer: offered one of the best controls until X2 Football, amount of content is unmatched Let's Golf: great controls, great graphics, content is overwhelming Hero of Sparta: good controls, good graphics, lengthy campaign mode Castle of Magic: good controls, lengthy campaign mode, great graphics Assassin's Creed: great controls, great graphics, overwhelming length Bubble Bash: numerous game modes, great graphics, good controls Where are you getting this "short and bad control" vibe?
on the website it said it had 7 cities here they are. The following 7 cities are available: - London - New York - Sydney - Berlin - Los Angeles - Tokyo - Rio de Janeiro
He said it in the post that you quoted? what he heck were you looking at? The answer is actually IN your post...
driving through trees and such is odd, i got stuck on a store advertising sign that just sits on the ground instead of knocking it over or going through it. turning around the camera when on foot is a little slow when being shot at by the police. hope i can adjust how sensitive the tilt control is while driving. still amazing it is on the device, and i'm sure updates will improve, great start though, worth the cash imo. can drive in the water a bit, but engine seems to cut out and radio, if you can manage to coast back on shore it seemed the car responded to gas again and radio came back on.
Well I've only been playing it for as long as it has been out, so I haven't really run in to anything too terrible. I saw some clipping when the camera tried to go through a wall and I got stuck on the scenery a little bit while cutting through an alleyway. Overall it seems really solid, if there are any major bugs in the game I'd imagine Gameloft would quickly patch them since this kind of seems to be the crown jewel of their iPhone catalog right now.
Experience? It's a 3D open world game on a device with no buttons. The controls are bound to be less than perfect.
Meh, I hated Terminator and Brothers in Arm's controls. Getting past the lasers in TS was damn close to impossible.
