Nearly useless observation #2: The police don't get called while you're racing. Could be helpful if you like making cash by mowing down pedestrians, if you first shoot your racing opponent and then take a detour from the finish.
Ok so i was playin this game and it started freezing really bad so i exited and decided to restart my ipod now it doesnt turn on i pushed it to turn on and i get the apple symbol for like a minute then it just stops nothing happens. Does it have to do with the game can someone help
Did you try connecting it to iTunes. Sometimes that'll straighten things out. As long as you didn't drop it you can always do a full restore. Not likely the games fault unless it didn't install properly. Is your device jailbroken?
I had it connected but the same thing happens it starts to turn on but right when it should turn on it goes back to off. Doesnt show up connected to the computer at all and doesnt charge. And no its not jailbroken Yes, that would be sick. I think an online multiplayer like GTA 4 would be absolutely amazing!
Oh yeah! I love getting chased by the police, making an officer get out of his car, then stealing the cop car. BTW, escaping from the cops is sooooo easy, just go down in one of those ditches, they're not really ditches, i just dont know the word for it
I hope you recently backed up. Someone elses recovery instructions (though I feel we've gone a little off topic with this): RESTORE IPHONE: Step-by-Step 1) Close all programs and restart computer. 2) Open iTunes and plug in powered off iPhone with direct USB connection. 3) If iTunes fails to connect to iPhone...continue to #4, if it does...restore. 4) Shut DOWN iTunes again. 5) Power OFF the iPhone & Disconnect from computer. (Power off two ways-one will work, hold home and sleep button until off or just hold sleep button until off) 6) Hold down Home button & connect to computer using direct connected USB cable (keep holding down the home button until iTunes sees it). 7) It should go into recovery mode and iTunes should recognise it. 8) If you want to recover to previous software version, Hold Alt/Shift and click restore in iTunes. Then select the old update version. DFU MODE: Step-by-Step 1. Turn the iPhone ON 2. CONNECT it to the computer with a DIRECT USB connection. 3. Make sure iTunes is open so you'll know when it enters DFU mode. 4. HOLD the Power/Sleep-Wake button AND the Home button for 10 seconds. 5. RELEASE only the Power/Sleep-Wake button and continue to hold the Home button. 6. WAIT until iTunes recognizes the phone in DFU Restore mode (in Windows a bubble pops up saying it recognized new hardware "DFU Mode" or something to that effect) The last step may take SOME TIME, like, say, even 60 seconds or so. The screen should be OFF (black), if you see the "Connect to iTunes" logo, START OVER. It may take a few tries to do the steps just right, just reboot (hold both Power/Sleep-Wake AND Home until the Apple logo appears and the phone turns back on) then try again. 7. Then restore the iphone -Plug one end of the cord into your phone and the other in your computer -Remove the cord in your computer, leaving the cord in the phone still plugged in -Hold both the home button and on/off button on the phone -Once the screen turns off, let go of the on/off button but continue holding the home button -Plug in the other end of the cord in your computer while still holding the home button on the phone -Once the apple logo appears, continue holding until you see the plug into itunes screen on your phone -Click restore.
I agree but I think the biggest problem would be the aiming mechanism. The whole auto-aim thing would need to be adjusted in multiplayer somewhat.
I have way too many iPhone/touch games. Over, I'd say, 100 games that I paid for (most $1, some $9.99 graphic intensive games). I usually avoid restarting with the less intensive stuff (single screen apps with really low graphical settings), but I know to restart with, say, stuff like DOOM Resurrection, Gangstar, Galaxy on Fire, Terminator Salvation, etc. Mind you, I'm on a 1st "gen" iTouch. Now, see that part I put in bold in your response? That sort of thing, taking a call, going on Safari, etc. is EXACTLY the sort of stuff to be avoided after restarting and wishing to play a game. By taking a call and checking on Safari or using e-mail, you counteract the reason that you restarted in the first place: to flush out the background operations from RAM. It may be that Gangstar is a more RAM intensive game because it's a more "open" world environment and is doing a lot of things that other games don't on this platform. Perhaps there are memory leak bugs that Gameloft will sort out over time, but the fact remains that even that issue is more due to Apple giving developers an idea of the RAM they can use rather than saying definitively (because they really can't due to the background operations taking variable amounts). But, again, most PC game developers DO request that players of their games DO shut off RAM intensive software like virus scanners, etc. before playing the games. MS Word? No. No need to turn off background operations there. But it's not as RAM intensive as, say, Crysis.
I think the way it's handled in GTA is a section of the city is the play area, not the whole city. Like a block or two radius of the city. Similar thing could happen here, but I don't think it's likely. If multiplayer ever happened it'd most probably be set races.
just finished the story and i love the ending [edited: in white text below] Jai hooo!!! you are the reason that I breathe Jai Hoo!!! hahahahahahaha anyone who can maybe get a video of the ending? i want to see it again, hahahaha
