I have never had the problems you guys are having with this game. You cant really blame the game for the problems because not everyone has the problems.
From what I heard PSP go is going to adopt the same pricing structure as the appstore apps so not sure why gameloft would abandon such a large user base.
im sure their sales are going just fine dont worry sure their not no.1 but the game doesnt cost 99c so they can still easily make more with their game than a 99c thats no.1 on app store
Of course I can. Reading comments in this thread, and the reviews on the AppStore (which I usually take with a grain of salt) I see that many people, especially with 3G phones, are having crashes and freezes. If my phone had problems with other "hardware intensive" titles I wouldn't blame the game. As it stands, Gangstar stands out as the only game that gives me this many problems. It is far and away the worst offender of them all. hence, it is most likely a problem with this game. I will try reinstalling but that doesn't seem to be helping anybody. I think many people that have problems try certain things like turning off "push" or reinstalling. It will work once just fine and then they will post here saying "Oh this solution worked!", only to find that next time they play the problems are still there. I think the game is awesome, when it runs good for me. I'm not trying to trash it, but so far I'm a little disappointed.
try airplane mode, turns off wifi and wireless, can't get phone signal but also don't get interrupted by a call when about to beat a taxi or food delivery mission and have to start all over again. i had another game that gave me grief and putting it in airplane mode freed up enough, the game ran faster/smoother. plus it's nice not getting interrupted in this game due to load times.
Gangster is a rly cool game, but its RLY xpensive. For 1/7 the cost, you can get a high-quality game in Aqua Globs, with many levels coming in future updates. Get it now while it's at the intro price!
To say something is fine because you don't have the problems really don't mean much. Just because you don't have swine flu does not mean it is safe in an area with many others reporting to have it. No problem has to affect 100% of the group of users to qualify as a one. However, I do see where Spiffyone is coming from, although I don't agree totally with his opinion, which is fine... I do know many graphic intensive games require a restart after installing it the first time. But Gangstar is really pushing the limit IMO. I have to restart EVERY TIME I wish to play. This is the first out of my 30+ iPhone games. I would restart my phone, make one call, check my email and start the game only to find out it freezes every other second. Now, I just don't bother and restart whenever I wish to play. For example, imagine you have to restart your desktop computer, turn off Firewall, anti-virus programs, etc. EVERY TIME you run MS Word to type a paper on a decent computer (I do believe the 3G qualify as a decent device among the similar products of Apple) that clearly meets the system requirements set forth by MS. I consider it MS's problem for writing inefficient code, or for not stating the product may not run smoothly with certain devices.
i still wonder why others encounter lags and freezes while others don't many in the reviews in app store say"warning don't buy if not 3gs!!" or something like that yes i encountered those issues maybe ten times already but it's playable,its runs smooth on my antique iphone(from 1.0.2-3.0) hahahahaha wonder what's with the iphones with issues

It's not that useless, it's sorta cool Also when it lags I dont have any music playing or and back ground processes going, never has lagged for me before. EDIT: Just noticed I'm the 1000th poster in the Gang$tar thread. Sweet!
