Nice work. Many people should find this useful (including myself) to find all those hidden health/armour packages that you need to get to 100%. I appreciate all the time you have put into it
Has anybody else noticed men and women act differentley in this game? Whenever u aim at a man they stop and put their hands up and whenever at a woman they just keep walking. And when u carjack a man they run away and when u carjack a woman they carjack u back
i've seen SOME of the women put their hands up and scream "dont shoot!", and SOME of them run away instead of carjacking you back, but for the most part, yea.
The game complete video was interesting, to say the least. Now I just need to get all the achievements. Great game except for the occasional crashes. When racing, you can shoot the other cars until they explode so you can get an easy win. Helped me tremendously with the game.
Actually, Apple made them take out the memorey freeing capability (in a program called Free Memory, how wonderful of Apple). In fact I don't even see the app in the store anymore. I did a few days ago. Apple sucks.
Well some of the users that complain and give lower stars do not think a game should require a restart every time they play. As much as I agree that having such function available to each developer is a good idea, I also think developers should make their respective app work "reasonably" on all devices they claim to support. On a different note... I know there are many out there without the 3GS that could play the game just fine. But the problem is that there are a significant number of people who can't unless they restart their device, clear up memory, turnoff push notifications, etc. Although Gameloft generally is negligent about updates, Gang$tar is one that seriously needs one!! The game itself is great, looking at myself justifying the need to restart my 3G at least 3 times a day just to play it proves it!! However, this restart nonsense has to end... Gameloft!!
Memory Sweep is still on the appstore - it will free either 15 or 30 mb for you on a sidenote: i wish the other cars didn't spin you out so easily! that race "proving grounds" is so annoying because everytime i so much as tap (or get tapped by) the other car, my car goes spinning off the monorail gheyyyy
I've been trying to beat this race for the longest time. I'd like to win without shooting at the other car to make it explode, but this might be my only option for this race...
no kidding, i tried ramming him off the road but of course only MY car has ragdoll physics triggered by a ladybug coughing on the side of the road
Something small that I'd like to see. Having guys in cars say "get out of the way!" rather than always girls. Fat and skinny cops, not just fat. I want some Diversity.
Had no problem with it, used tilt and won the second time I played it. don't understand why it isn't no.1 iphone poeple rather pay .99 cents for some match 3 game. If pspgo and the mini's become a succes then developers like gameloft will say bye bye iphone
I managed to do it. Basically, just stay at his back until you totally leave the black track thingy. From then on, accelerate like crazy and try to overtake him before the turn. If you dont and you are unlucky, he bangs u and u go spinning with the finish line being so close.
Is there a video of the ending on youtube? Because I accidently skipped it ps.: I hope there will be a sequel with a better, more mature and intelligent story. And of course better graphics I'll pay any price.
What? Jeez... That's not Gameloft's fault. Again, ALL games really require a restart when starting to play, REGARDLESS of device used. It's standard MO for the iPhone/touch family, from the original iPhone and iPod touch right up to the 3Gs based devices. The reason is due to the RAM limitations on the devices and limitations of the OS itself as well. There's constant background operations going on, including Safari, the phone stuff (if you have an iPhone), and the music application. Even when you are not using these things, they are still operating in the background, taking up precious RAM. So when you launch a game, due to those operations on one hand, and memory leaks on the other, the games may stall up because the RAM they need to run is being taken by other operations. And there's no real way to tell how much RAM the devs will have at any given moment because the background stuff takes variable amounts so there's no way for them to develop games around that limitation. They simply develop games based on Apple's estimate of how much RAM they'll be left over, but that amount is, again, sometimes taken up by background operations at a moments notice. So, restarts are absolutely essential. It sucks, yes, but it is not the fault of the devs. It's not really Gameloft's fault. Quite a good deal of it has to due with the impediments that Apple themselves have put on the devices. It's an Apple issue for the most part, not a Gameloft issue.
"If pspgo and the mini's become a succes then developers like gameloft will say bye bye iphone" Not too likely. The iphone has such a huge market share now that game developers will have to remain competitive, just on the off chance that their competitors may capture a share of the audience that they themselves could have had, etc. In business, you go where the people are and those people are with the iphone at the moment.
Of the 150 +/- games and apps that I own, Gangstar is the only one that I have these issues with. I never restart my device for any reason. Even restarting isn't the cure-all with this game. It's kept me from wanting to play the past few days.
Maybe you have registry problems. Try reinstalling it. That stuff doesn't happen to me. It freezes once ever hour or so, but that's it. I know what you mean by the cops. It's not like it bothers me, but having them all look the same, and appear from pop up and attacking me makes me feel like I'm fighting Agent Smith. Well, a fat black version of him that can't dodge bullets. I guess you could call them Carl Winslow.
