This game is awesome! I LOVE the ability to play my own music while riding in the cars. You know? I really don't have a problem with not being able to hit stop signs and streetlight posts, doesn't bother me at all, actually I like it better this way, it doesn't impede my driving. I LOVE GAMELOFT! This game has tons of play too!!! I think on average maybe 10+ hours, amazing. Oh and my favorite control with the car is the slider as well. Oh, the distance when you see cars come at you doesn't bother me either, I think it's just fine.
i agree with the people who are saying the game is "sweet".....because it is. im starting to really like the driving physics.......the way you can just drift all over the place. its pretty radical. haha alright thats all i gotta say about gangstar for now...
nope not really only time I do is when I lock then unlock the ipod. Other wise no problems I even had my music playing in the background (NOT the ipod playlist feature) and it didnt cause any lag at all.
right. thats weird then :S might be because i didnt turn my ipod off after i bought the game. I just started playing it but it seems to lag every now and again. Like i start driving then it just stops for afew seconds and then goes again.
Happens to most people. Except the 3GS owners. Surprisingly, that did not happen to me until I was well halfway into the game.
anybody want to tell me how to get past the level where you take the picture of the three guys for leatherskin/granny person, i know im doing something wrong when i only have three seconds to take a picture and i dont even no how to take a picture in the first place...help?
Er. its essentially the same as using the sniper rifle. You have to zoom in to get a good picture and the faces must be seen
obviously a stupid question coming up but- how do you zoom with the camera is it like just exactly the same as a sniper or do you have to click the camera first?
What do you mean? You have to click the fire button for the sniper to go into zoom mode. then u pinch to zoom out and vice versa
Always, always, always, always restart the device before playing such games. Frees up some RAM, and the games run smoother with less crashes. Would be GREAT if Apple actually allowed for a simple pop up window that clears RAM for the app you're launching. I know the app Free Memory does that, but, honestly...Apple should allow for devs to put such a function in the games themselves. It would save users and devs from a lot of headaches...and devs would be saved from undeserved zero star reviews from users who don't know to restart their devices.
I disagree. While Gameloft could certainly afford the time/cost of such an effort...honestly...it really doesn't make much economic sense at this point in time to support such a feature with a large budget game such as this. 3Gs may be the "hot" phone of the moment...but, honestly...the install base is quite tiny compared to the 40+ million strong previous gens. Also, it's been shown that the larger percentage of iPhone/touch users who buy games own iPod touch devices, not iPhones. Perhaps because the age range skews slightly younger, I don't know...but that's what I've read in some quarters. And, quite frankly, while games make up the largest individual percentage of App sales, it doesn't make up the majority of app sales all by itself. It's a large percentage, sure, but not a vast majority. So how many of the 3Gs userbase are even going to buy such a game? Would it be enough to at this point in time support 3Gs specific features for such a high budget (for mobile) game? IMHO, at this point in time, for games requiring larger investment costs, supporting 3Gs specific features may not be the smart move. At least not until the 3Gs based iPod touch reaches market. Once that hits the market, Apple will most probably phase out the older models completely. So it'll be 3Gs focused from then onwards. And that's when supporting it seems to be the better move.
were you supposed to get a picture of all 3 people? i dont know if this has been said yet, but IGN gave gangstar a 7.9/10. much lower than i expected.
Gangstar Map It had to be done. For anyone struggling to find that last health pack, body armor, or stunt jump, I give you a poorly created map with just those details. Click Here for Map Note: The stupid map service put half the details on a second page so don't forget to go to page 2 at the top to see the rest. Click the legend to see what each color represents. Let me know if I missed anything.
