No offense, but insulting someone you disagree with is generally a sign of someone who lacks the ability to explain WHY they disagree. An intelligent person would take the time to explain their issues with the thing they disagree with and whenever I see someone simply throw out an insult instead of an argument, I just assume that they lack the skills to make that argument. Insults are the tools of people who simply have no other options. If they could make their case with any eloquence, they would, but since they can't- it's insult time.

If you want to actually explain why you disagree with what I said (if you CAN explain it) I'm all ears. Until then, you can go ahead and keep the insults to yourself. Or at the very least, make them a little more creative and interesting. Honestly, calling someone "dumb?" Is that really the best you can do? I mean maybe I'm giving you too much credit, but I'm kind of hoping that you're capable of just a little bit more.

    Maybe?

No restart yet, when I first booted it up it crashed, since then it's smooth as can be no crashes, no lag, nothing.

slapshot hard reset your ipod and then try booting it up again.

ALso to the guys that said if you can carry around a phoen you can carry around a psp too, a phone is like 1/3 the size of a psp. and an iPHONE gives you games music videos and phone all in ONE device

I respect your opinion on this. I just hope you respect mine. I love iGaming. The games may not be top notch (yet) but the controls are awesome. I love tilting and touching. They just make it that much funner for me. It's like I'm playing with the game and not just playing it.

Not sure about that one. I know they can do the other things, but I mean game selection. The PSP, I could agree with in the selection, but there really aren't any DS games that interest me. Maybe Pokemon, but that's about it.

If you are talking about the perfectness of Gamestar as a game overall, it does have a few flaws, but if you mean in terms of a full game, I totally agree. I love a game of this magnitude and hope to see more in the future. I also hope that Gameloft makes expansion packs for this game.

I love your use of the word "schlep". Anyway, just to let you know, Apple is a little late to jump on the handheld gaming train, and the appstore has only been around for one year. I want you to look at the games that people were waiting for last year, and compare them to the ones we await and celebrate now. It's evolution in progress. We just have to give it some time. It will be big eventually.

You were suggesting that if people want to stick to one device, iPod Touch users should get PSPs? Ahh, nvm.. I would just like to say when it comes to iPod Touch/ iPhone "fanboys", I'm pretty much as "fanboy" as they come. I like many things about this little device, and I think I'll stick with it.I'm not much interested in the DS, and I'm not too fond of Sony's hardware "upgrades" with each new model of the PSP.

i just ran a test of the game to see when the game would stop allowing objects to go on screen and it stops as six so i was right when i said it only renders 3 peds and 3 cars on screen.. there is no hitch even with a pile of 6 cars. they coudlve done more, but once one object enters, one leaves, so a ped enters, one car disappears. one car enters another car disappears and vice versa.. i say they couldve went as high as 10 judging by wat it looks to be able to handle on ipod touch 2g, and 20+ objects for 3gs

Mine skips a few frames when objects appear already... I wouldn't want anymore. It's barely noticeable at the moment, but with ten I can imagine it pausing for a second or two.

Anyone arguing that the PSP and the DS offer the same internet experience as an iPod touch is OUT OF THEIR GOD DAMNED MINDS. The PSP browser is on par with early 2000's PDAs and Opera for the DS is a joke. And I love Opera, it's been my browser of choice for over 5 years.

In my household there are 2 DSs and 2 PSPs (in addition to the Xbox 360, Wii and PS3). I love all my consoles (I've always been a huge fan of the PSP) but there's no denying that I end up playing on my iPhone 3G S far more often than any other console. Simply because it's always with me.

It's the device I use to make phonecalls, update my website, check the weather, organize my finances, take pictures, make videos, talk to my friends on MSN, shoot the shit on twitter, check movie times, read the news, listen to my podcasts, read my comics books, access my home computer remotely via VNC...

In addition to having so many more features, the iPhone is much more portable than either the DS or the PSP and more stylish.

There's just no comparing the three of them. I live in the best of all worlds :)

OK calling it "dumb" was harsh, I should've reworded it better. What I'm saying is that you're sitting there and what you're basically saying to that guy was, "Having an iPod Touch is pointless and dumb cuz you can just get a PSP or DS instead." You're saying an iPhone is the only smart thing to have, because it combines everything into one device (gaming, cell phone, music player, internet, multimedia). Whereas iPod Touch is just a couple of those things.

Well guess what??? Some people - prepare for shock - DON'T WANT an iPhone to be their cell phone. Some people want ALL the functionality of an iPhone except the phone service part - they want the games with touchscreen control, they want the music player, they want the awesome mobile browser that is Safari.

So why judge them??? Why call their device pointless or a waste??? And I OWN an iPhone, in fact I have the new 3GS, and damn I love that thing, but I'm not gonna sit on a high horse and tell iPod Touch owners they're dumb.

    So there you go.
