Well, actually, you can shoot from a car in Gangstar. It's like the tap to lock on function on foot, only in a moving vehicle. Sounds tough? But it automatically locks on to a cop or predator, so you can just shoot and drive, but the person has to be in your screen.
Dude, why are you here? Almost every post of yours that I see is nothing but negativity about this device as a gaming platform. You know what this forum is about right? Or do you only think it's capable of Minigore or Pocket God, which I'm sure you love? From the little that I've played, it's really good. I hated Payback and thought CJS was meh, but this has been really good so far...if you feel the need to apologize for this game to anyone, then you don't know what you're talking about. You obviously can do much better as a game designer, so make something better.
Okay. But does the music run continuously throughout, or can you set it so that it only "plays" when you enter a car? BTW...there's an opening here if Gameloft wants to take advantage of it. Imagine them updating the game radio stations, with deejays discussing new things week after week, playing new songs, etc. Costly? Perhaps...but if Gameloft were to do such a thing, they'd open themselves up to putting ads during the "commercial breaks" in the game's radio stations. And ads = more revenue. Just sayin'...there's an opportunity here for Gameloft to make some extra cash on the back of this game by using the strengths of the platform (updates) to the most lucrative advantage possible. Better still if they somehow think to spin off the radio stations into podcasts, and have said podcasts play when you enter a car, etc. Separate the in game radio stations from the game, update the podcasts for 3.0, stick commercial ads in there, earn some extra revenue.
By "shooting people through car windows" I mean shooting drivers through the windshield You're right though, drive-by shootings weren't in GTAIII either.
So if you guys had to compare the game to the console GTA's you'd say it's GTA3 with some of the refinements found in more recent GTA titles? I haven't come across any motorcycles yet, has anyone else? That was always my favorite thing about GTA games... Motorcycles + Ramps.
OMG!!! YES!!! This was NOT expected because I thought Gameloft had it coming in September, but hey, this is even better. Haven't gotten it yet, but hopefully it's been worth the wait!
I think you need double the app's size in space to install the app, so you would need at least a total of 346 mb free for installation
Eh? There were drive by shootings in GTAIII. Not really. You could choose whether or not to play the Gameloft radio stations, after all. You could choose to listen to your own music. And I don't think many people will mind ads on an in game radio station because, hell...it happens in GTA. Sure, the difference is that GTA's radio station ads are all for fictional products and they add some laughs to the game, but the point stands: people are used to ads being played on radio stations. And by having real life ads in the mix, Gameloft would make some real money on the side.
One thing that just hit me- Where the hell is the Crystal integration in to Gangstar? This game is BEGGING for achievements and online scoreboards for various things in game. I want to know who on my Crystal friends list has run over the most pedestrians.
My bad. It'd annoy me. I'm not one for bothering with my own music in games, I barely have any on my iPod anyway. GTA got away with it because as you said, it was comical, but playing a game and then actually having a voice tell me to go and buy something... I'd consider that incredibly tacky and cheap.
This is so odd.. I go to join a fansite thinking that I'd meet only people who were FANS.. WRONG!! Somehow, a number of opposition sneaks in and it's like a text based drama in front of my very eyes. They could make "Touch Arcade The Dramatic Opera". Honestly, I love this game. And I think Gameloft is awesome. I'm kind of wondering why there are as many people as there are who hate them. I guess it's their beef, but people like J0han or who ever it is Sizzla replied to should not be here. I wonder why they are. When I run into a forum and it's about something I hate, I sure as hell don't join it.
I'm still trying to resist buying this, of course I will eventually. But it seems Gameloft really has a habit of lower prices on games. I gave in on NFL 2010 a day or so after release and got it at $7.99. And then when it was lowered to $4.99, I was pretty mad. It's a good game, but I lost $3! I wonder if they'll do the same with this one...
That's cause it wasn't that popular and lowering the price would get them more money. On topic: THIS GAME IS THE SH*T!!! I love it. So fun. There are drivebys! The missions are great. The controls are perfect! Graphics are beautiful! It's soooo fun just to drive around. If you haven't gotten this yet, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY IT!!
So I got this it says it is 170 MB and I have over 300 open on my ipod touch 2g but then I go to install it it says there is not enough room so I opened up over 800 MB and it still wont install.. Anyone having this prob??
