Yea, I agree, although I don't have a 3gs, I still think it shouldn't be held back because of the 1g iPod touch/ 1st gen iPhone It's IGN.....
I wish I could figure out why Gameloft insists on showing me intro movies every time I load their games. They stop being cool after like, the third time, if that.
Well I can't be bothered with that. What about some screenshots, will that quench your thirst for blood? BTW cost me $200 when the cops killed me. Not much really though. Oh yeah and someone mentioned the drive-by mission - I did that whilst listening to Jimi Hendrix's Pali Gap - now that is just damn cool and something you don't get in GTA!
Know exactly what you mean - they should add a switch to turn it off (or even better do so automatically after your 1st play). It doesn't help that the game takes like a minute to load on my 2G touch either!
I wonder how many downloads have been done. SOOO... anyone else got any more videos/screens lol and thanks for that nizy, appreciated.
The intro video shouldn't affect the loading... it should start instantly and once you hit the skip button you should be at the main menu within 2 seconds.
Question: can you listen to your own music while playing the game, or just the in game radio stations?
I didn't mean it like that. I mean that from the time I tap the icon, skip the video, tap continue and then wait...about a minute start to finish. Not ideal for a mobile game. I figure removing the intro vid could cut as much as 10 seconds (the game has to load it into memory etc).
If you're running 3.0 then yes. Just go into the menu, tap options and under sound there is an option to select a playlist from your ipod. When back in the game the radio will show that its playing your music.
It's people like this that make me doubt man-kind's prominent existence on this planet. What was so bad about the trailer? Why are you getting on Gangstar for only letting you do crime stuff and not letting you do more, when you think Civ Revolution is a better buy? After trying its lite version, I'm pretty sure my possibilities are more unlimited playing Gang$tar.
So after dusting off my PS2 and searching for the wires that I need to hook it up, the similarities between this an GTA 3 are pretty amazing. The graphics are extremely similar, the main differences seem to be GTA 3 has a slightly greater draw distance and a little better vehicle physics. (Also obviously real music and voiceovers thanks to the space available on a DVD.) After going back and revisiting GTA 3, the comparison is pretty crazy. I'm not sure how well it holds up to Vice City or San Andreas, and it obviously doesn't hold a candle to GTA 4... But Gangstar really goes seem like GTA 3 in your pocket. I'm pretty surprised.
so i have 324 mbs open on my touch, but its telling me that this 173 meg game needs more space...how much do i need open to download this crap? :/
The main reason Vice City is ahead are the little additions to the gameplay. Helicopters, bikes, boats, shooting people through car windows, shooting out car tires and so on. One thing Gang$tar does have that wasn't introduced until after GTAIII is the option to jump out of a moving car.
