theres one more thing im wondering. Can you go to jail, like can you actually go to jail and stay there? Or does the game say game over or something lol.
First thing I did when it downloaded was reboot. I'm pretty sure the frame rate thing is just the game, like I said it's smooth in general but sometimes when you're driving it needs to load a bunch of objects at once and it hiccups.
i finally played for a second......well the first 2 missions.haha its GREAT! i wasnt expecting this much......i was tryin to keep my expectations low so i wouldnt be so disappointed when it finally came out.haha well.......the game proved me wrong! BIG TIME! i mean....i never played GTA on a psp er anything but id imagine THIS...to be like that. a portable GTA game for my phone..... you can tell they took their time with this......everything runs smooth...the menus are nice....radio is cool......controls workreally well(i use the touch steering).....has a pretty detailed map in the pause screen.....YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT! unlike CJS where you where on a "real time" schedule.....you can do as you please without worrying about getting a $50,000 payment everyweek..... i dont know maybe ill write more about it later.....gonna go back to playing.haha oh yea...the last thing i did before writing THIS.......i blew up a car with my pistol. it was awesome.....the car caught fire....then blew up and the tires flew off.haha
I already got caught by a cop, and it's not game over, just lose money and weapons, although you can bribe the cop to let you keep the weapon which I find pretty awesome.
just played for about 10 mins and its pretty good. I got f badges because i was killing too many polices lol. Its totally fun!
I think there's a bug. When I leave the game I seem to lose my body armor even though I just bought it, is it suppose to be like that?
People keep saying you can 'do whatever you want'. Oh really? Like what? So far everyone has done a good job praising how you can steal cars, kill people, and drive anywhere (never seen that before...). But what, exactly, can you do in the game world? Someone said the missions so far are pretty standard. Deliver this, transport this person, kill this guy, etc. What else can you do aside from blast around the generic urban environment? Are all the cutscenes and dialogue as laughably bad as the trailer? I plan on buying it when I get back from work, but I'm not seeing the appeal here aside from being a decent tech demo. Somehow I think Civ Revolution is the better buy and I shouldn't even bother with Gangstar.
It's basically GTAIII. If you considered that a tech demo for the PS2 then this is a tech demo for the iPhone. It's only the basics of 3D free roaming gangster games, but it does work pretty well.
Umm ur description is matches exactly what the GTA series, and now Ganstar, tries to create. A world where you shoot people, take cars, and do missions.
Although all the GTA games from Vice City onwards offer more. If you're comparing, it really needs to be GTAIII.
I tried the sniper rifle out and its awsome . The only hag ups i have is that there is no sensitivity controll for accelerometer stearing and it doesn't seem like you can go inside any of the buildings.
If you want to build a civilization instead of shooting cops around town, then by all means do so. The point of a game like this and GTA in general is to go around carjacking, shooting, and killing people in general. If you want to a life simulator, play Second Life. If you want random GTA things, play stuff like this.
I was going to just wait for Modern Combat: Sandstorm, but with little to no news on that I'm just going to download this now! So glad I skipped on other games for this! Hope it's worth it. 12th gameloft game, and only Rise of Lost Empires didn't live up to expectations. Should be worth it.
