iPad Gangstar: West Coast Hustle (by Gameloft)

Very nice game. It is very similar to GTA.
The only things I don't like are:

- the draw distance isn't very far

- The camera rotation isn't as sensitive as I would like it to be (there should be a sensitivity option).

- The character looks like he has pooped himself when he runs.

 

WOW. that actually looks like the area will be quite big. Okay im going to buy this right now! XD

Ha, I know. I just couldn't resist playing it.

 

After an hour and a half of playing, I can honestly say I love it a lot. My only gripe is that the police sirens don't work when you drive a cop car.

Oh, and if anyone hasn't said anything yet, there is this place I found in the train depot that keeps spawning new cars. It's a cool glitch.

I agree totally. If this were on any other console the price would range from $25 to $40+ iPhone/iTouch users get it at $7. and people are complaining about a $4 difference? do you question the price of a meal when your hungry as hell and know what it is you want to eat? No! This game so far is worth every buck spent. Sigh...

 

Good game, worth the money. We finally have a GTA 3 like game on the iPhone.

 

What is the difficulty level of the missions ?? I know the starting one's will just be there to familiarise you with the game, but still!

 

I'm getting frame rate hiccups on iPod Touch 2G with 3.0. It's not long enough to be considered an issue, it's usually just a very quick skip when I'm travelling in a car and another can spawns on screen. I'd also like the camera sensitivity option... and I'd like to know if the game has saved or not cause I have to eat dinner and there's no option in the menu.

 

Wow I knew it would come out this week! Time to buy. Thank you Apple for not rejecting this

First impressions:

Great graphics, game seems to offer a lot. Driving is very fast, and while the driving controls aren't bad, running with your character is a little awkward. Overall, definitely worth the $6.99 and if you haven't purchased it yet, go get it. Shooting needs some work though, I have no clue what I'm doing half the time.

 

how do you save in this game?

 

Go to the pause menu, then press main menu. The game won't save your current mission, but it will save all the ones before. Missions are fairly short, so you shouldn't be losing much data.

EDIT: @yournothere the game will automatically save after the completion of each mission.

 

my ipod touch 2G on 3.0 did not even load game past loading screen it just stuck on 80%
just rebooted ipod now trying again

 

ok thanks. I wish there was a save option instead though.
