Hey guys just wanted to let you know that the Devs are aware of exploits like this and are monitoring the thread to see which accounts take part in exploiting. If they suspect that an account has used any game exploits, they will look into banning the account from certain social features to prevent the exploits from spreading. Please don't promote any game exploits or take part in any either, I'd hate to see some of your accounts be limited by any ban methods.
If we start again will we still be banned? Without any of the items. Like a proper restart. Just because people who have done it know? Because I think that a lot of people have done it.
A ban is a ban. An appeal process might be put in place. The same process exists for MC4 where those that are banned can appeal through support but they must now have unmodified files. Which still doesn't guarantee access again and does reset their progress. Why people would use something that obviously contains iap hacks is beyond me anyway and a ban is appropriate. Of course some use them without knowing the wider implications but note all these modified files can be detected by server side checks on games that access online of any form so the best (and ethical) thing to do is not use them. Bear in mind I'm not criticising everyone who used it, some genuinely wouldn't be aware of the iap hacks, but be aware that if a game sells cash for iap and you have access to a save that gives you, amongst other things, truckloads of cash, well what else is it but an iap hack which in turn is piracy. So just avoid them basically as security on this kind of thing is tightening up everywhere and nobody really wants to get banned.
Just going to comment and flag the video on YT. Probably wont help the people who did it but hopefully they might get to start again and forget about it. It would be a shame to see 3 TA members banned from playing the game.
Well needless to say it wasn't one of my brighter decisions. I'll accept responsibility for my actions and accept the ban if you guys choose to do so. Well maybe I can keep both tWD and Gangstar Vegas, it's been way too long since I've had 6 GB of free space.
Should be okay if you reset. Thanks for flagging the video. And I know to have to reset is very annoying and a shame really but I'm very glad to see you guys being so ethical about it. It is very refreshing.
I wonder if all the stuff we were being sent was from that hack. I think we should all wait until after the hacks are removed to trade and gift.
Its a good thing I don't hack nor I use exploits all of my rare items were obtained by trading (gifting) and by hard work
Not sure if you will be safe.... I'll explain, probably some of the extra rare items you were gifted were obtained by non legitimate methods. Not by you but by the original sender (Off topic- The video is still there, How long does it take for youtube to pull a video?)
Er when you say 3 TA members, did you also included me? O_e In your latest post you said that some of my items were obtained through hacking. I am not entirely sure if they were actually obtained by hacking. The only rares I got are limited vehicles/clothing and unique boxes that are not on sale. Do you think I still can get banned? (God my English is so rubbish >.<)
