Yes, it's a TON better! And I'm actually very impressed with how interesting each character is, the acting and story is executed very well.
At the very beggining I saw a military chopper and jet. I beat the game and now I can't find them in the shop. Anybody know where they went
I have to agree with you I havent had this much fun playing a IOS game in a long time. Its even taken Warhammers spot. Probably is Gamelofts best game imo.
Where is the vehicles health? I was just in the police chopper and i was getting shot at and i didnt see any health bars and suddenly i just blew up...
If you think this game is your TouchArcade Forums Game of the Week, vote for it here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=192140
Yes, and it's fantastic, although the percentage on the menu doesn't relate to your progress in the story as I thought it did. I completed it after about 45%
I read a lot of positive comments here, which is nice for a change for a Gameloft game. And it does indeed feel like it is a great game, but really has no one encountered any game breaking bugs? I had several times, where I could not move at all. The fighting is awful. When standing close to someone in a fight, they often will stop shooting or fighting and just wait to be killed. The app crashes a lot (fix seems to be to turn on airplane mode) I really think there are way too many big bugs for this to be GOTW Playing on iPad Mini and iPad 4. Don't get me wrong. It has potential, but I am having a hell of a time trying to enjoy it.
Never experienced anything like that in 6+ hours of gameplay on iPad 4. Zero crashes or getting stuck on the map, though the motorcycle mounting is buggy and annoying. The AI is actually a huge step up from Rio and most Gameloft games, the enemy gang members will follow you around, take cover, etc. Can't say the same for the police, though: it's wayyyy too easy.
I am on an iPad 2 and its doing fine. I have an iPhone 5 also but screen just seems to small for something like this.
No crashes on my iPhone 5 (and I mean 0) or major bugs. Melee is indeed weak, but the same is true for every GTA game I've played. Driving is ridiculously better than in previous Gangstar games (and much better than the touch implementation in GTA3 VC). The city actually feels like a city and, well, alive, in ways that put previous entries in the city to shame. Easily the best thing that Gameloft has put out in a very long time.
Hmm. Strange. Guess it is just me then. Will try and reinstall on both units. And yes that motorcycle mounting is horrible.
I wish manual aiming was some how implemented, maybe how Mass Effect Infiltrator did it would work here (hit a button and it stays in aim mode until you start to sprint,or hit the button again would work good, right?) that way it would feel better
So the driving is implemented good ? Is it easy to drive your vehicle ? I mean is the control responsive ? I'm asking because they're comflicting reports and in a game like this I don't want to be doing 180s just from trying to turn. And anyone running this on a touch 5g ? If so it it smooth ? Thx in advance.
The driving is great to me, on everything but crotch rockets really. They seem a little twitchy but thats to be expected moving that fast.
Runs fine on an iPod 5. The driving isn't great, but is still fine. I think it's worth the money for sure.
