The jacket on the character looks horrible. Also no smash physics, damaga, etc. Before in this thread people where saying hoping there is offline mode? Is there a true online mode to play with online players or no?

Rio had the private jet. I don't think there were any other planes.

3 planes. One like on the screenshot from Vegas, one jet and also first plane but with minigun.

In the screenshot with the airplane, there are absolutely 0 cars on the road!

I think it just doesn't load them unless you are close up, they are there, just invisible.

City does look a tad on the barren side.

Why not import the cars from asphalt games into this game? Or atleast the designer of the cars.

I don't think there's a damage model on the vehicles, but the physics do look quite nice and are probably the single biggest step up from Rio.

Because this is a city, not a gated community where everyone has sports cars. Plus the poly count would probably be on the high side for a game like this.

    Miniguns make everything better.
But flamethrower choppers would make things perfect.

Lol, that's why I said or bring in the developer of asphalt games. To make the cars more graphical.
In dead trigger madfingergames bring the best in graphics. I don't see why gameloft lacks in that area.

    Thanks.

I had expected it to be a big post day with the various news that broke (Deus Ex announcement in particular but the Dead Trigger 2 concept has huge potential) and others that I expected but didn't quite make it. :)
Can't wait for next week. Should be a big one.

And of course Gangstar might finally have grown up with this particular version. I hope so anyway. It certainly has a lot going for it visually and physics/motion capture wise. All it needs is some kind of story continuity with the main missions and I'll be happy.
The cars themselves I'm not worried about because it'd just be more licensing and even GTA doesn't use real world manufacturers.
I'm not sure how many would want to be associated with high violence games anyway.
As far as damage model goes, I can't quite remember if any of the rest had it but I think there's a very basic damage representation system in this. I can't be 100% sure on how it'll work out or be presented but there is something in there.

I'd bet on the 20th myself as the release date. I'd prefer to have it sooner though.

So a corridor shooter vs an open world game?
The corridor shooter has an easier time that the open world.

That they do, but couldn't hurt to upgrade graphics for the cars in my opinion.

True, but they could tweak a bit more. In the video, the cars looked like Rio cars but with skidding.

I don't might reused assets as long as they were/are high enough quality for a current gen game. That sun flare, for example, is quite nice.

Asphalt has no breakable cars, there is only stupid crash sign. Developers have to buy license for it. Why for example GTA IV had no real cars?
