I think one of the previews mentioned skrillex being in the game. I just hope they also have other music options

 

If it is this Friday, I wonder why we haven't gotten the dev video by now.

 

Maybe beacause GL is letting us hype it for them?

There will be other options for the music. I hope one is like daft punk/power gloves' style.

 

They never do dev videos or extensive promo for Gangstar. It's a series that sells off the name alone. If it truly is coming this Thursday then official confirmation from Gameloft should be out sometime in the next 48 hours along with a second trailer

 

That's nonsense. "Selling off the name alone" is never a good business strategy; releasing more promo materials will only drum up business. The Modern Combat name is far bigger than the Gangstar one and there were 2 dev videos and many teasers before we finally got the game.

 

Maybe they will pull out all the advertising on release and get people to buy it then instead of building up anticipation, using suprise instead.
I don't know how valid that tatic is, but it could work.

 

You always build up anticipation and eagerness for the product. Always. That's marketing 101.

 

That is, but this release date may also be wrong.

 

To you (and millions more) it might be, but at least for me and Saan, it's not. It's just a difference in music taste though

They are promoting it but it's different from what they usually do, first there was Gangstar Vegas fb game/contest, than minisite + all GL blogs & twiitter hashtags

There will be. On the screenshot with a biker there's a new kind of car. Never have seen it before.

Im afraid of too much emphasis on social interaction and integration will ruin/brake gameplay experience - hope it doesn't have that
