even backstab was bigger than that this is such bs if the map is that small i was expecting a huge map after playing backstab and this game is running the engine used in backstab
The map in Miami vindication looks smaller than it actually feels like when playing the game. It's probably the same here.
I think the Rio map does look bigger than Miami Vindication. Not hugely bigger admittedly. The major difference seems to be a lot more open areas between roads. The question is what are they used for? Filler farmland and forests with not much activity isn't fun. I believe San Andreas had a bit of that problem between urban areas.
Personally I think it could be really big or really small. I know that sounds very obvious and dumb but what I mean maybe it is actually much bigger than MV. Btw that engine they are using looks really good. From a graphical standpoint at least.
Well, if some buildings are enterable, then it definitely wouldn't be as bad. Maybe that's why the map is smaller.
I hope they are trying to clone San Andreas with this one. I want planes, and a city where is open space , like a countryside. However, gameloft should fill these with side missions. At least the blue area on the right side looks like there is an airport at the right, because the street is very straight, and on the left side, the green area, there are not many streets , which could mean thats a countryside Well, I hope the best -> and I want screenshots from every area...
I doubt there will be an airoport, (The map looks big (for an iOS game), but it isn't THAT big) I think that's more likely going to be a harbour. And why would they add planes? There is no where to fly to, no where where you can land other than that one airport, if it exists.

I'd be suspicious of those achievements: the max number of points any single achievement can award is 100. Look at that last one... Edit: there is a 1000 point per game maximum as well. But I had a thought that all these might change in iOS 5, in which case the game won't be out before iOS 5 is.
I hope the green part is countryside while the blue part is the favelas (possibly). I think the thing on the side of the blue place is a military base. Assuming there are tanks but it could be a harbor cause I see the outline of a ship. Those Achievements are weeks old. Posted like 10 pages back. Miami Vindication had an airport too.
No police side missions? Hopefully, the wanted levels have distinctly different police response. And I was part of the camp that felt the RPG elements of San Andreas, having to maintain physique for example, went too far so I hope the leveling system doesn't require that here. Changing clothes and owning property would be fine. Gameloft hasn't been that supportive of Game Center. Do they place restrictions on their own Gameloft Live games?

Take a look at 4.18. There is a little green house on the street, but on the map you can see that it isn't a mission. I bet you can buy houses And there is an autobahn..
This looks to be disappointing as well,the whole just looks incomplete in terms of graphics and gameplay judging from the video.
