Just curious... Does anyone think the graphics look good? If so, what device are you playing on? It looks horrible to me on my Air 2.
Thought I'd try this out of pure curiosity. First mission, 30 seconds in, it said there was a connection problem and aborted the mission on me. Then showed my character on screen again but I couldn't move him in any way. Deleted Pocketgamer have rated this 7/10...how?! I mean, I know they rate EVERYTHING 7/10 but come on!
Games such as this one remind me how progressively bad IAP have become.Before when you spent 40 euro at least you knew what you are getting,now it's 40 euro for a random item with uncertain stats and what bothers me with this game in particular is that there is no guarantee that you won't get a duplicate item.What if I buy a 40 euro worth pack of jars and get items I already have?I am fine with Gameloft having IAP but I want to know exactly what I will receive.
Outside of the requisite inevitable F2P complaints, I'm really surprised by the technical problems people are having. I kinda figured the first soft launch was a train wreck because they had a lot of work to do... Not because, well, this is just how the game is?
I cant even move lol I played the soft launch version and now my progress is stopped because it is asking me to do some task but anytime I click on it nothing happens.
So I can play the game now. But I have some really big concerns. -they chose the cartoonish style so that the game could load in more and hold more content while taking up less space. Yet everything pops up right in front of me and the frame rate drops even on high end devices. Even the textures are poor on some areas -there seems to be no boats or planes spawning in anywhere. -the menu is organized terribly. Customizing your character is unnecessarily complicated. -People are spamming in the comment thingy thinking that there are cheats. -you can't even unequip weapons. You always have something in your hand Why was the game released in this state. What were they thinking?
I am actually enjoying my time with the game overall.Started getting some better items and you get pretty good boosters from the turf war event that will really help you level up your gear.Also it is kind of cool you can explore the open world and shoot anything you want while also escaping the cops,although the open world feels a little empty.Also someone mentioned the lack of boats-there was one mission where you can use a boat but after it I too can't find if boats spawn anywhere else on the map.Planes I haven't seen thus far too so it is possible they are missing.I do help they introduce a new patch soon to fix the framerate a bit especially because of the car races where the issues is the biggest for me. Again-gameplay is pretty awesome and there is quite a lot to enjoy about the game,especially when you get the cooler gear and the awesome cars(I got some green one that has over 1,000 rating and it's pretty damn sweet).
Holy hell. If you thought the people in Gangstar Vegas were bullet sponges then play this. If your gear isn't "a high enough rating" you'll run out of ammo on two guys. That's it been the worst of it. Health packs and grenades cost a large chunk of diamonds, which are hard to get sincere they're the second currency, the first currency being dollars, which are also hard to get. It's like they're trying to remove any last support they had.
Add to that the fact that turf that you own reset after each turf wars event I couldn't believe it,I spent more than a couple of hours fighting for these turfs and raiding them after getting the appropriate amount of percentage only to find out today that I own none of them because of the new event.Now it's back to grinding all of the turfs so I can get rewards from the new event,horrible gameplay decision if you ask me,it's like the game does one good thing in terms of gameplay and then five bad things follow Really sad,game had some serious potential.
There's a Police helicopter at the airport I just stole without anyone bothering me. I kind of like these games just to drive and mess around. Too bad that here's no radio in the vehicles. I also got to steal a Police van that chased me. But you can't do anything fun with the Police helicopter or van unfortunately. In one of the other games in this series I regularly stole a tank. That was fun Im not sure if I want to follow the story at all. I think I will drive and fly around the city every now and then until I'm bored. And that might be pretty soon. Are there optional side job like taxi driving etc. in this game?
Gameloft managed to add glass animations and sounds when you shoot the side of a building but can't maintain features from previous entries of the series? How can you be this detailed yet this short-sighted?
