HOS 2 hasn't dropped yet. Games like Splinter Cell Conviction are still selling for 6.99. Splinter Cell started at 9.99, granted, but it hasn't gone lower than 6.99. This game will likely start at 6.99. If it sells well, it could be a month or six weeks or more before it drops to even 4.99. And it'll likely be more like 4-6 months before it drops to .99c. Gameloft reacts to sales a lot. If the sales are weak, they'll adjust on the fly, but I don't think with this game they will be. NFL 2011 was getting creamed by Madden, hence the radical drop in price. This game won't even have any competition. A fully 3-D, open-world, GTA-type experience. No company other than Gameloft has even tried. Basically, if you are really stingy, prepare to likely wait months before you ever see this game.
i wouldn't hold my breath on it coming out this month. When the first was released it was quite a while after they released a teaser trailer and that one was more polished than the one released for Miami Vindication. It was well over a month iirc. I'd rather have them take a bit longer to polish it up a bit more than have them rush it. Someone will post in if they make an announcement on twitter or for sure when someone in new zealand see's it released. I doubt will get much notice.
People say its so bad. Personally I don't have a problem with it. They are calling it the most ambitious crime sim for a handheld. Well if that's true interiors area must. A casino, safe house, gun shop, hotel?, airport, hospital, etc. There was a gun shop in wch but there was no clerk or interior. You could just buy guns. Helicopter is probably mission exclusive. I noticed a radio in the boat and helicopter so we can bump some tunes while blowing up buildings. Good times. This is not confirmed but someone asked game loft's Facebook about the release date and they replied around September 15th. I've also heard September 5th as a rumor. Anyway wonder what rappers they'll put on legalize it. Probably underground rappers.
I'd like to see loads of enterable buildings and shops, maybe places where you could place bets and play cards etc. Jobs? Like salesman or hitman. Gang fights like saints row (Where you can randomly collect gang members and attack other gangs). Buyable safehouses, or even buyable shops! Where you could gain the profits the shop makes but it will go bust if you don't manage it to well. Lots of variety in missions and more side missions. Realistic ai and more life in the streets as well
And so would I, but that finished product would cost a whole lot more than 6.99 and probably even more than 9.99. Remember GTA:CTW is a port. If it had been an iDevice exclusive, it would not have contained nearly as much content as it does for only 9.99. Miami Vindication is an iDevice exclusive. There is only so much content that Gameloft is going to deliver on for a game that will probably sell for 6.99 when it comes out.
Well if its the most ambitious crime sim for handheld it'll have ineteriors and big map. Gta cw had interiors were you could buy scratch cards. That was an iPhone game.
What do you mean "no"? It's certainly an iphone game! If you mean it wasn't originally made for the iphone, then it isn't a psp game either, because it wasn't originally released for that platform. I can tell you for sure that it plays a lot better on the iphone than on the psp; the minigames are very awkward with physical controls. I haven't played it on the DS, but I know the graphics are about twice as good. It's an iphone game.
IT'S A DS GAME THAT WAS RELEASED ON THE DS, MADE LOTS OF MONEY, THEN GOT PORTED PSP, MADE MORE MONEY THEN GOT PORTED TO THE IPHONE. Use your brain.
because YOU won't pay fair multi-console market value and properly compensate them for their efforts. That's why they can't and won't. You want the world, so to speak, then it's going to cost you a heck of a lot more than 6.99 or 9.99. It's going to cost you 19.99 or 29.99. The price for a high-end DS game is 34.99. You get what you pay for in life. If you want to continue to pay 6.99 or less for you iDevice games, then you are going to have to accept the fact that these games are going to come packed with less content then games that sell on other consoles for much higher prices.
Shut up, that doesn't even make sense. It's a game for the iphone: therefore it's an iphone game. It's also better suited for the iphone than either the ds or psp. Yes, it's a ds game. Yes, it's a psp game. It's also an iphone game.
OMG. "You get what you pay for in life." Regular DS games and PSP games will always be inherently more expensive because they're on physical media. People have to pay for manufacturing, packaging, distributing, and putting them on shelves. If it wasn't cost-effective, rockstar games wouldn't have brought gta to the iphone. Once the programming is done and the app is submitted, there are basically no more costs. It's the future.
