Yet another developer slowly but surely and unfortunately racing steadily toward the bottom. Would they sell more "copies" of this game at $6.99 than $9.99? Sure. But they'll lose the potential revenue they could have generated off of those who would have been willing to pay $9.99 but now will be able to buy at $6.99. Those not willing to pay $9.99, but willing to pay $6.99 can always be had down the road. Better to launch at $9.99, get as much out of that as possible, then go down to $6.99, $4.99, etc. over some amount of time. $9.99 has life in it, particularly for "big" releases. But it's Gameloft. If they aren't releasing at lower prices than a sizable amount of early adopters are willing to pay then they're dropping price in too drastic amounts too soon and skipping prices where they may have found willing consumers.
Shhh! They'll read this post! lol.. just kidding! But i know what you're saying. The smart thing is this.. You should have an intro price of 10 bucks, so that, just like you said, people who have no problem cashing out that much money, people like me, well buy it. Then when the sales are going down, they should drop it to 7 or 8 bucks.. Then release a lite version. Then make it 5 bucks.. That's what I would do with a huge title like this. I think they just want it in the top 10s so it'll be known by more people. I think that's what they're trying to do. But I'm just happy I'm gonna save 3 bucks.. lol..
i hope so. thatd be awesome! but just because the website launched and some info was released doesnt mean anything. they are still saying before august is over. we can hope though.
since this proves that the idevice can handle free roam, wouldnt it be awesome if they made a free roam version of assassins creed? can't wait for gangstar! $6.99 is awesome!!!!!!!
Sweet! So I assume Gang$tar will be released sometime in the next week hopefully. Then we will probably see a similiar product page for Sandstorm the first of next week with a release around the 30th-31st?
