Yeh, the open-world aspect really interests me.
I think that the AppStore lacks a lot of freedom, open-world games.
Hopefully this game will change things.

Do you think you'll be able to go into the houses you own, and change clothes, and store cars in the garage?

That would be so so AWESOME!

But I think I'm asking for too much... :(

Looks damn good, let's hope it controls well. I'm no longer riding the hype wagon after I got sucked up in CJS and found it wasn't the cat's meow.

Ugh, had to send my Touch into Apple since the screen froze up on me and I'm hoping it doesn't take them long to fix it.

My fear is that Gameloft will make again a game easy to hype then put some 3d graphics with boring repetitive missions with typical story, lots of loading times, some real music and no fun gameplay only a game that people will love for what it is and I will get bored after 1 hour and 10$ later.
But I hope to be wrong

If you go to Gameloft's website you can see the gameplay from mobile phones (this game is a port from the game they created for mobiles). I'm sure it will look better on ipod touch/iphone

Different city is alright. But every blocks of the city would be hell annoying.

    worries

I think this might go too far for the iPhone. Don't get me wrong here, I'm seriously hoping it'll be good and I'll probably buy it. But how much can an iPhone take? The open world could be too small or too bland. There may not have enough depth to keep things interesting and I bet it will be repititive. Then there is the biggest issue: controls.

I'm hoping for it, but I doubt if it will work out well.

I was speechless for a while. Let's see how great this game turns out to be, and hopefully it won't fail (knowing gameloft's performance on the iphone/ipod, it should be good)

hmm some random thing I thought up, the whole iphone/ipod thing is like he/she, if you say only one of them you are being biased... its just something stupid I know :)

Impressive but they did clump streets and buildings together in that "hundreds" statement. I take it to mean hundreds combined not hundreds of streets and also hundreds of buildings.

there isn't a release date on that post.

But if you mean that gameloft are making a new game like GTA, then you're kind late.
