Technically, the last day of summer in 2009 is... September 21st? So hopefully we'll have Gangstar before then.
I'm trying to think of the best aspect of GTA. Is it the story? The freedom? The design? I'm leaning towards the story, since Rockstar always had great humorous plots since GTA III. Let's hope Gameloft gets a new writer fast =P
I think it was an oversight in the email. The 1st generation iPod Touch is the slowest device, so if that's supported, so should the original iPhone. arn
I liked just driving around finding secret ramps and other areas. So hopefully they include lots of that.
I'm curious - but not excited. A game of this magnitude on the iDevice? I will be very impressed if they pull it off. But if it can't stand up to GTA IV... I'd just assume play GTA IV on my PS3 and play mobile games more suited for my Touch. Definitely interested...
Looks good! I wasn't much of a fan of GTA4, but I loved GTA3 and Vice City. This looks more like one of those earlier classics, so I'm looking forward to it! Hopefully someone will make a decent gamepad for the iPhone before this comes out, though; I can't imagine playing on a touch screen
And hopefully the programmers and artists of the game are slaves working in china, so they can make a 99 CEnt Price eehh?
While this looks decent I have my reservations being it IS Gameloft. Anyone that thinks this is going to be GTA for the iPhone will be in for disappointment, I feel. I will definitely wait for reviews on it when it comes out, not an instant buy for me. Edit: Under $5? Uh, I think most would agree this will be priced at $9.99 when released.
Hopefully it will be priced at a level where the developers make enough of a profit to dedicate even more resources to iPhone development, leading to higher quality and more plentiful games.
It'll be 10 bucks, sale is 6 bucks. This game will probably... be 5 hours short? Probably only 7 weapons, cannot drive a heli, only cars, your gang can't get in the same car you're in, you can't ride on the ferris wheel. These are just predictions, but I bet most of them are true.
Well with most of these sandbox games you can either burn through the missions pretty quickly, or take your time exploring the city and stopping to play with cool stuff you find along the way. The actual gameplay time of most GTA games is comparatively short when you take in to account all the other things you can do in the game world.
