It works very well! It’s gorgeous to play old psx on iPhones!!! Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #3 Stronsay, May 12, 2024 Is it easy to use, like Delta, or is there a lot of complication involved to get games running? Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,236 540 113 #4 Brightsiderus, May 12, 2024 I haven’t encountered any problems. Though silent hill is a bit odd. P.S. I think that this emulator will be put down soon cause it looks like Delta, named with same alphabet (Gamma). And some people say it’s not real ZodTTD, but someone who bought his website Attached Files: IMG_8691.png File size: 388.4 KB Views: 5 Stronsay likes this. Need for Speed runs fine. I wondered about the similar name too and whether it’s a legitimate app, at least as legitimate as possible in a pirate world. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #6 psj3809, May 12, 2024 Works really well. Added a fair few. Dark forces graphics don’t work too well. Quake II works well but the controls aren’t the best but so far an impressive emulator elcrazy likes this. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 707 562 93 #7 elcrazy, May 12, 2024 What files are you using for this one? I cannot seem to get this one working. At least not easy like delta. That I just download a rom and open with the app. This app can’t seem to find the file extensions I am getting. What are you guys downloading and where? Thanks in advance for any help! psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #8 psj3809, May 12, 2024 Well the site I went to all the games were .7z zip files which a gamma didn’t like. So instead I downloaded games on my PC and then unzipped them and dragged the .bin file over to iTunes. Then gamma would fine them and show the thumbnails Can’t list the ROM sites but for me the main thing was it didn’t like .7z files squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, May 12, 2024 I always unzip before installing on Delta, so that wasn’t an issue — there’s an unzip app in iOS. My only issue is that the emulator crashes when you try to use a Backbone. Haven’t tried any other controller yet. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 834 399 63 Male 95% leisure. Lol. That works like a charm. Did not know you could do that lol. Can change rar files too! This is awesome. Got some good ol fighting games on here. Quick question. All the games I have been using are working. I am using the first bin file I see. I obviously am just doing a quick check of each at the moment. Do I need those other bin files for the games to work in full? Like are they going to stop working at a certain level or something? Or is just the main bin file ok? Maybe the app locates the others based on the first? I have no clue. Someone let me know what they think lol. Thanks again! sebgo likes this. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 834 399 63 Male 95% leisure. You probably have a .cue file and several .bin files. My guess is the .cue file has a basic set of instructions of which .bin file it directs to (at least with single .bin games, I haven't tried any multi-file game) at a given "time", treating each .bin file as some sort of "track". For multi-disc games (Final Fantasy VII/VIII/IX, Metal Gear Solid, and others I don't know about), in case Gamma supports them, you have to make a "playlist" (plain text with .m3u extension file) of .cue files and save it to the same directory as the other files. So, in a nutshell, you need to have the .cue and .bin files for each disc, as well as the .m3u playlist, in your games folder. So the hierarchy would be: .m3u files contain discs (.cue) .cue files contain tracks (.bin) .bin files contain data All you need to do is check they point to the correct file name, otherwise games might not work. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 707 562 93 #15 elcrazy, May 13, 2024 Hmm. So games all seem to work and I use the first bin file. I haven’t used any cue files. But I am guessing the app uses the bin files location folder and reads the files in it. I tried a game, Pepsi man with like 10bin files and it seems to work. Looks like an og mobile runner lol. sebgo likes this. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 834 399 63 Male 95% leisure. And no in apps! Lol But I am mainly playing psx for the marvel vs capcom stuff and other fighting games like that. Wish we had ps2 though. I need me some marvel vs capcom 2!! Oh and of course Open Ice Challenge!! And Tony Hawk 2 performs surprisingly well. 2 complaints about the app. The adds are driving me crazy. All of a sudden it’s every time I open a new game. I don’t use my controller ever, but I do have one and if I was ever going to now would be it. And it crashes the app instantly as others have mentioned. I still use a Mad catz micro. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 834 399 63 Male 95% leisure. Somewhere in a town amidst the Amazon jungle. http://www.google.com #18 sebgo, May 14, 2024 1. I'd just play with data/Wi-Fi off, since when I wanna play games, I'm not interested in getting notifications. 2. Yeah, it's a shame. On another topic, I can report Provenance (multi-emulator, similar to Delta; currently in Testflight) has the same issue with some PS1 games, as well as the app crashing when I try to enable "analogue mode", therefore forcing me to play all games with the d-pad since the analogue stick doesn't work as it should (instead of a 360º/8-direction stick, movement is diagonal four-axis only, which is weird and mostly useless). But it works great for PS1 games in general (as for other supported systems, I have no complaint so far). Wait for a Provenance release, you'll have a greater experience than with Gamma.
