Nice game but...
I played the 2009 version for what felt like 5 days straight. The overall game concept is strong and very additive where you get caught up in trying to raise your average or RBIs/HR and forget about the match up/team. The league setting seemed to hold my interest the longest. That setting had some versatility and range of depth. BUT team dept was shallow and after a while I didn't even notice or care if the players looks different. Sound effects were lame and buggy during home runs and then quizes for gpoints had a bug that did not allow you to choose the 3rd answer...even if it was the correct answer. Adding to the frustration, ties never went to the runner and some of the throws were ridiculous like an outfielder in the deepest corner of the filed could throw a ball home or any other base and get you out. The special characters were dull and the power-ups were bland and unimaginative. I would love to see how they improved the game. From the screenshots...it looks about the same so that doesn't make me happy that they will charge much more $ for basically the same game.
The game has just been submitted to Apple for approval!
The graphics look very crisp, unlike 9 Innings 2011 which looks horrible.
We've redone all the sprites again for the iPad version, and we expect it to be released on the 7th of October. Hope you enjoy when it is released!
What's the expected price?
It's not finalized but the price should be around $4.99
Will there be some kind of option for manual fielding?
This is the biggest omission in the world of iDevice gaming, honestly.
Game will go live on October 7th for $4.99!
Looks great. Have Thursdays become the day for new game releases? Seems like all the big games now come out on Thursdays.
No, not in particular. We try to service our games when it is approved by Apple. However we usually submit most of our games to Apple on Fridays.
About my batter
I have been playing my batter for about 1 1/2 years on the hard setting. He is a power hitter in the 4th spot. His ratings are 999 in batting, power, and speed. I am on the 4th level helmet, 7th level bat, and the 6th level shoes. I am in the middle of my 9th season. I have won the championship 5 times and it looks like 6 from where my team is now (36-4).
Here are my career stats:
As you can see this is my favorite game and it has treated me well.
