I thought it might be interesting and useful for people to talk about which games they regret purchasing. That way you can learn from others mistakes Obviously opinions will vary and so a short reason for why you regret buying the game would help. I'll start: BIA2/Sandstorm - Generic shooters that offer nothing new. Predators - Very repetitive. Ravensword - Overall mediocre game with nothing special or exciting. InfectThemAll - Gets repetitive. Rope 'n' Fly 2 - Boring. Not much to do. Free version just as good. PZS - Can get repetitive. Sim City - Boring. Gamebox/101 in 1 Games - Lots of mediocre games not worth your time. Impossible Game - Horribly frustrating and gets boring quickly. NFS: Underground - Average racer. Real Racing is much better. Mega Worm - Gets old fast. Battle Bears - Repetitive, boring and unpolished. Most of the apps I regret purchasing I got after seeing them on sale and feeling inclined I'll try improve my app purchasing addiction though and hopefully this thread will help I can also add other peoples opinions here to make it easier for others to look through. Hope you guys support the idea P.s. I accidentally put this thread in the reviews section so if any mods are reading this you can delete the other thread Thanks
Thread like this exists already. But, why not another. I regret purchasing a bunch of Gameloft games. With so much hype, I kept buying thinking they would someday satisfy me. Nope. Dumbass I am.
Super monkey ball 2 super monkey sucks. I bought it when it dropped to .99 but I feel I would have still been ripped off if I got it when it was free. The game stinks.
Final Freeway? Were you not a huge Outrun fan like myself? I feel ripped off by most Gameloft games aswell.
Sorry about that. I didn't see the other thread. Hopefully this one goes well though Nice to see lots of participation so far. To make this even more helpful, leaving a reason/short comment would be great! I agree about the Gameloft comments.
Rope n fly 2 - Not much different from the lite version. Triniti Game's All in One Gamebox - Huge file, only like 3-4 decent games. Ricky - ... Fastlane - Nothing wrong with it, I'm just not a huge fan of racing games. RunStickRun - Gets repetitive... That's pretty much it.
Updated the op with a list of all mentioned games so far. If anyone has any suggestions to make it better feel free to shout them out.
Sorry, but this thread seems like a stupid idea. Compiling a list of games that different people didn't like for different reasons? I don't see the point. There are many great games on the list, I hope nobody gets put off from buying them.
Yeah I didn't realize that the games we regretted purchasing would be put into a list... Just because one person regrets a game doesn't mean everyone will. Example: Ravensword is on the list with 2 mentions. But I'd say Ravensword was an amazing game and I didn't regret buying it... -My 2 cents.
Well, we just don't want people to see the list and not buy the game just because a few people appear to have regretted purchasing it, when if they would've bought it, they would've enjoyed it.
What if the reasons were included by the games and not times mentioned? I totally see your point though.
Heavy Mach 2: developer promised updates and bug fixes, however he eats his own words and decides to spend the time developing other games instead, a new one was released a few months ago Angry Birds: unoriginal idea, little content, complete trial-and-error process (completely fails as a physics game if it was intended to be), highly repetitive, completely undeserving of its fame; good thing Cut The Rope came out to replace this piece of junk Hybrid 2: gamevil lied in the update saying it "improves performance on slightly older devices", complete BS. In fact it actually runs slower now. If it's not compatible with iPhone 3G, which isn't even that old, why not put it in the app description? Afraid it might hurt sales, and thought playing an action game at a choppy framerate is acceptable? What a surprising thing to do, as I loved their Zenonia series, which features the same level of graphics, but runs with no lag at all. The fact Hybrid 2 only works with 3GS/4 is completely unacceptable Ravensword: simply because I found there's nothing to do in the game except running around. Maybe all western-RPGs are like this, so it's basically personal preference that I don't like this game at all.
