Was wondering what games you guys wish had a lite version.

    I'll start:

    -The Creeps
    -Rolando
    -Edge
    -Hero of Sparta
    -SimCity

  2. every single game that doesn't have one

Just look at ishoot - they released a free lite version and that led to the paid app going to no1 slot. Proves that for decent titles that providing a free lite version works.

    Outer Space.

It's supposedly a pretty good game, but I've not seen even video of it, and for $5.99 I'm hesitant to buy sight unseen.

  7. Good thread.

Iron Man. There have been some positive comments on it, but also some negative. Would be nice to try before I buy.

All of them. Seriously, a demo is the #1 way to get me to purchase your game. If it has a good demo then I'll buy it. If it has no demo, then it has to compete against the other twenty games I'm probably interested in that "might be good".

  9. Perhaps we ought to add a rule that "all of them" is not an option. I am sure many of us would agree with that. But what about any specific games you would like to play a lite version of?

    Fair enough ;)
I just bought 7 Cities last night, but had there been a lite version, I would have bought it a long time ago!

Edge intrigues me, as does Space Ninja.

OK, fair enough. I feel the more expensive the game, the more it needs a demo. I'm willing to risk $1 or $2 on a game that may not be that good, but I won't generally risk $4-6. Right now I'd say Edge and Dungeon & Hero are two I'd really like to see demos for.

Just curious, what in the lite version made you want to buy the full version? I just tried it and deleted it, the performance is just too awful to play. I'd rather play iTD.

    Hi ZildjianKX,

What about the performance didn't work for you? The game runs smoothly on all the devices we test on, including 1G Touches... Do you mean the gravity/inertia/thrust levels?

    I enjoyed the game play.
Graphics are nice, love the trance music and for me the controls are dead on.

Seems like a good game to frustrate the hell out of me... lol

I'm sorry, I would like to apologize. I thought they were talking about Retro Defense Lite.

I just played Retro Lite right now, great performance :)

Yeah i agree i think this is kind of a useless thread. Obviously, everyone would like a lite version for every decent game out there, so they know what they are buying before they buy it.
