I'll show you an easy way to express your dislike of Canabalt without being so annoying about it: Type: "I don't like Canabalt." Any arguments about whether it's worth $2.99, the fact that it was a Flash game, or how long it took to develop have been so thoroughly and annoyingly played out elsewhere that they pretty much require a nasty rejoinder.
Save your breath. Squirt Reynolds is known to openly attack the opinion of others and insult them in other non-related ways. Thinking that whatever he likes everyone else must like is not really something new or surprising. It'll just be a matter of time before a group like "anyone who dislikes ___ should be shot" group is started by him.

Midian you wouldn't be trying to get attention again or anything by mentioning freedog ya phony "internet gangsta" What's funny is how I've been getting private messages from people I don't even know the past 2 days telling me how funny it is how you and Ian are so desperately trying to make me look bad for my opinion on Canabalt and how they think its the most overrated game of the year. I hear there's finally a new update coming. Super, that's all we were really asking for, enough content to be added for it to be worth the price. We'll find out in a week or 2 and if its good I'll be supporting Canabalt too. For now though you can enjoy and defend your 30 seconds of game content while I play a real game.
man Man, there is some hostility on this thread! But seriously, who the hell made this list? Haha I mean, some of the games on there certainly do kick ass but I don't see many up to the caliber as other games released this year. But whatever, nobody can agree universally about a list, we all have personal tastes (however there should not be an excuse for Sallys Spa haha).
they probably just avg. reviews + time spent on top 100/75/50/25/10/5 + most purchases + peak position, and yes,,, sadly sally's spa was there.
Enviro-Bear 2010 should have made the list too. I thought Enviro-Bear was just a joke. I can't believe it's an actual game. LOL. Good times. Worth every penny.
I used to HATE Eliminate and I still don't like the pricing aspect but lately I have been loving the game. I think it deserves it more than Sally Spa and everything.
Games I think that should not be on the 2009 list: 1. Canabalt 2. Backbreaker Football 3. Meteor Blitz 4. Blades of Fury 5. Samurai (not sure about this one,.. maybe) What should be on the list..? (my opinion): 1. Doom Resurrection 2. Caster (not sure when it was released) 3. Hook Champ 4. Ynth 5. Mecho Wars
canbalt is the stupidst game evr. its like imposible to get pass the 1st lvl I try and try butt that dude keeps on runnin and runnin forevr. I fink the devs shud updat and fix dat glich where the 1st level nvr ends and also the main dude is such a doosh he shuld at leest bring a gun and stuff so he can shoot down the billdings and not crash in2 them like an epic fail.
I'm kind of surprised Samurai is on the list. I mean, it was a pretty interesting game, but I thought it didn't do too well in terms of popularity? Maybe I'm wrong. Also none of those games have customizable hats.
