But you will spend nearly twice the amount of money Adam Saltsman stole from you just getting there riding the CTA. I don't think I want to be responsible for that given how hung up you are already over $3.
Sally's Spa to be replaced with Hybrid: Eternal Whisper Zen Bound to be replaced with either Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered, Monkey Island: Special Edition, Resident Evil 4, or Doom Resurrection.
I'd be willing to give up some of my Starbucks budget for an opportunity to whoop that ass. And yes, I do buy Starbucks, and my favorite drink is the Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino. It's almost $4, and it takes about 20 minutes for me to finish.
Sally's Spa is one of the finest time management games. Just because you don't like time management games doesn't mean it shouldn't be on there. It's like saying "since I don't like puzzle games, no one at Apple should like them". I didn't check the list yet, but I think games like Inotia 2, Wesnoth, Spider: Secret of Bryce Manor, World of Tunes, Song Summoner, and Hills & Rivers Remain should definitely be on that list, if they aren't already.
Yet this is a forum driven by the opinion of the members. Not to mention that this thread specifically is about which should and should NOT be on the list. If someone can't say they don't like a game just because you do, then what's the point of this? Regardless of if its a specific game or a genre of game. If someone does'nt like it, then it's no good to them and should be allowed to state it here.
IF this were another post, you would be right.. but They are talking about making changes to the official apple list. Given that a published list should be impartial, and should contain games that truly deserve to be on there, then we have a point. Personal opinion shouldn't matter, only whether it truly deserves to be on the list, if everyone just listed what THEY felt like, it wouldn't be good journalism would it? The same goes for the front page of iTunes, or your own website.
I knew this entire topic was just one guys plan to get yet another hit on Canabalt. People like the game, enough people bought it for it to be a success. GET OVER IT ALREADY.
The problem with your logic is that personal opinion is the only thing that matters with this specific subject. How could a person say "this is the best game" with out using their own judgement and opinion? If it was "the best game according to sales" then it would not require any sort of opinion, but just facts and figures. How else would could it be judged? It has to be how the individual feels about a certain game. Unless this list is driven by the number of sales, then it our opinion would not matter. Because it is factual and not opinion driven.
No, its not.. when you make a definitive list like this, it has to count for EVERYONE's opinions, majority rules. if it was just your opinion, it wouldn't be THE list, it would just be YOUR list..
If that's the case, how do you explain invalidating someone else's opinion about a game you liked but they didnt? That way, your being selective on who's opinion to count on a broken "majority rules" system by only validating and agreeing to the games you like as well. How does that work? Why can't we just agree to disagree on differences of opinions on games?
