http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62XRwGKtlHc Linked is footage from an upcoming DS game called Rhythm Heaven (aka Rhythm Tengoku Gold). The entire game is played via the touch screen. So a natural fit for the iPhone right?
i think i posted in the wrong thread before but... ultima 1-8 wing commander and privateer might and magic heroes of might and magic syndicate
I too just posted in the wrong thread... Confusingly similar names! I would love to see the Casual Collective guys port some of their games to iphone... I know the TD thing has been done to death now but desktopTD is the classic, and their other games, like buggles, are fantastic. The multiplayer community thing would be interesting to see...
Pathway to glory!! The turn based world war two game on the N-Gage platform. That was sooooo fun. Anyone remember it? I am certain that can be ported...
Here is a funny review of someone playing Nebulus on the C64 for the 1st time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsy0XlJj8i4 Remake of Nebulus called Power Toppler is out for $1.99 http://toucharcade.com/link/http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=312281423&mt=8
YS 伊苏 series by Falcom - it would definitely be a top RPG for iPhone if ported Original Legend of Sword and Fairy 原版仙剑奇侠传 - made in 1995 and upgraded a little in 1998, it became instant #1 RPG in most of Asia and still one of the top RPGs today with many sequels and spin-offs. Graphics are perfect for iPhone hardware. Guaranteed to be best turn-based RPG for eastern audience, best story, music, and gameplay of any RPG I've ever seen
Zoo tycoon would be great. Also Worms would be very nice on the iPhone. Currently there is a pretty decent rip-off of worms called 'SoldierAntz' which looks intresting, I have played the lite version and it works well. Worms World Party (PC) SoldierAnts (iPhone/ipod Touch)
Yeah, SoliderAntz a pretty weak copy of worms. I just got done playing it. First of all, there is NO physics for the missiles. Then the AI just looks bad. Also, it lets you switch between ants without penalty... looks like a pretty mediocre attempt. WE NEED ONLINE WORMS! Oh, and to the guy that mentioned Advance Wars: yeah! Or a game like Fire Emblem. I played Reign of Swords and found it incredibly lifeless. We need to control a team of like 10 characters with their own personalities, not bland clone armies.
Yeah, it would be so good if Team17 made worms for iPhone with online multiplayer. It could easily be done though, I have simple graphics like Rolando graphics in mind. That would be perfect. It's only a matter of those big companies getting off their backsides and realising that there is a whole load of money waiting to be made from the appstore
There was an excellent pocket PC worms-esque game called Snails. I just found out that it was ported to iPhone... but not that good. Controls, as usual. I'm not sure if Team17 has the patience to deal with that if they couldn't. But hopefully.
The original Team Fortress would definitley work. We are in need of a decent FPS, especially with online play. Also, why not then throw in Half-Life? I would pay $20 for a port of Half-Life 1.
