The Point Blank games where my favorite light gun games of all time! I'd take a fun light gun game like that over something like Time Crisis anyday... hello Namco!
I had figured the control would be the huge main issue and figured it would almost be impossible....didnt see the control method suggested but I would maybe suggest .... Having a touch to jump method and a virtual analog stick on the side like idracula has for moving. Again the problem as said was it would get in your way but I would suggest moving the stick to the other side of the screen depending where your character is but that could make it even trickier so I doubt it. Or I would just suggest cutting a small area of the bottom left screen from the level to have a virtual analog stick there, the good thing about N+ levels is they come in all varieties and that area is not crucial to making a good level.
hey guys, i have contacted Namco Bandai Games about Point Blank being a possible port for the ipod Touch. I am hoping they will reply back, and i shall let you know what happens thanks again, -Lukearcade22
TOO HUMAN!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJW8rN43jN4&feature=related Cooperative mode (shown here) would be awesome on wi-fi!!!!
I just got FATE from this weekend's MacUpdate promo (http://www.mupromo.com/) and I was thinking how great it would be to see an iDevice companion port so I can play my character when I am at home, or out and about. So I vote for FATE.
Thing thing THing thing would be grea on iphone I WOULD BUY IT FOR 4$ Holy smokes if you havn't played it now go to y8.com and type in thing thing in the search box! I will make a thread for a petition!
Star Control is an old favorite of mine too. I remember playing the awful port of Star Control 1 on the Sega Genesis for hours! #2 added so much more it's still a great game today... We wouldn't mind tackling this project, but the only problem is: If we used that source, graphics, audio, etc it would have to be a free game due to the GPL and Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. These would forbid a commercial version in the app store unless the original authors signed off their rights on it. I know that's not a problem to gamers but a struggling game start-up shop like ours needs to actually make some money if we ever want to quit our day jobs and make games full time This classic is definitely up our alley... Maybe Toys For Bob wouldn't mind us giving it the treatment... If you guys are listening let us know.
There's this little game called "Gears of War". It's a trilogy but based on what the iPhone can do, I think we can fit all three in there! I contacted the developer and they said they were porting it now with the full ORIGINAL graphics and online multiplayer!
Cool. I think "Gears of War" would push the iPhone to the limit but it should work............more or less. It's being ported? GO MAKE A THREAD!!
