There was a classic mac game that I think would port well. The Scarab of Ra. Simple dungeon (Pyramid) exploration game with an Egyptian theme and some nice twists.
I'd like to see Pandemic in all it's versions get ported to the idevice. (Pandemic is a game which you take control of a disease and infect the world).
I would love to see two old Amiga games: 1. Mega Lo Mania http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XY9nOVwObM&annotation_id=annotation_129470&feature=iv 2. Wings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEIARv4zpCk
The things I would do to have Star Control 2 on my itouch . . . Not only is the story excellent, but melée is amazing. I would settle for SC1 also. The gameplay is similar to Arcon (notice stARCONtrol) with both chess-like strategy and high-intensity, overhead, space dogfights. I also Second Punch-Out Fattyman.
Too little my friend, too little! I would like fallout 3 fully ported with the DLC, oblivion and Mass Effect. Skate 2 and Far Cry w/ map editor and i am only just getting started but seriously a iPhone version of some of these games (specifically Skate 2) would be awesome
Commander Keen! EDIT: Oh yeah, and the stuff in my sig: Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Swords & Soldiers
Digimon World 2 - it was a good game on the original PlayStation, and I think the iPhone could handle it.
I would like to see Final Fantasy Tactics :the war of the lions or any of those titles made for the iphone/ipod touch. i would pay up to $15 for a good quality title like that. hopefully square enix is listening because all they have been releasing lately is rubbish. bring on some of your real games!
retro stuff for me - chuckie egg pac land r-type out run sonic hedgehog (original) after burner bubble bobble
I would like to see the Shining Force turn based games I used to play on the Sega Genesis. The were fun, casual games you could pick up anytime and play even if you were only half paying attention. They could work well on this platform.
now, i didn't read the whole thread but i made it to page 10 and only saw it mentioned in one post, towards the bottom of their list.... CIV...I, II, III, VI!!! (thats Sid Meier's Civilization for those who have been living under a rock) any of these would work out well on the iDevice i think... why hasn't anyone ported this over yet? i think it would be the best strategy game ever on the Iphone/touch... ever... really i mean it
I don't suppose anyone knows what Graeme Devine, of The 7th Guest/The 11th Hour fame, is up to these days? I recall he wound up in some Texan game studio.. of course, whether he retains any of the rights to the games, following Trilobyte's demise, is another matter, but someone must. And I'll put my vote in for Sam & Max, and The Sentinel. ^_^
i think theyd be brilliant too. even simple ones like civ rev would be fine too. i just want civilization on my ipod
yep, even if you discount IV because of the advanced graphics... civ III had good graphics and yet was simple enough to understand.... UniWar is on the right track but not quite all there... hell i'd even pay $10 for a good civ port... any devs out there listening?
