Gameloft's new FPS: Nova

Most iphone games suck. What can you expect when 95% of them cost 99 cents or free. Low cost = low quality.

 

Dude the PSP was announced 2 years after they seeded the PSP SDK to select devs. So to see these games rival games that was 2 years in dev compared to a few months or a year at most it's quite amazing! Also if you say Apple did the same I have to say yes but they gave the dev one or two weeks to come out with a product so you can't compare 2 to 3 years of development to a few months so just be amazed that they even was able to rival them so just sit down and watch.

 

Did you even see the vid of this game ( nova ) it blows every sony FPS out of the water and did you even take time to play mc:s? The graphics are better than mgso and this just the iceberg of things to come!

 

The so called tip of the iceberg will come if Nova supports OpenGL ES 2.0. judging from the video it looks like it does. The appstore needs more high quality companies making games using OpenGL 2.0. Also when the price starts increasing; game quality will increase. If Nova plays as good as it looks, I would mind spending 15 or 20 dollars.

 

I own most high quality games such as Modern Combat Sandstorm, Resident Evil 4, and Prey Invasion. I agree quality has improved in recent months.I still say Konamis' Metal Gear Solid Touch has the best graphics since they're pre-rendered.

Pre rendered graphics are always the best since it is 'pre rendered'! Star wars force unleashed is another game with prerendered graphics, in the console world pre rendered = fake graphics so there is no point in comparing games that pre rendered and games that don't.

 

I think the lastest sales numbers would disagree with you.

 

Listen guy, just return to your f..in Playstation, X-Box, Wii etc. console forums and shut the f. up.

Sorry Mods, but this forum is nothing for people like him.

Soon or later he will have to accept that iPhone is the best mobile gaming platform.

To call the idevice the best gaming system would be similar to saying ethiopia is the most powerful nation. The iphone is good for quick gaming, but not even close to being better than even the DS. Maybe in time it will get better, but for now.......
