The iPhone is easily capable of beating the PSP in graphics (and controls ). Modern Combat: Sandstorm was better than any other shooter I have played on the PSP, and that isn't even a 3GS graphicly enhanced game! My poor old PSP has been feeling rather lonesome ever since the good iPhone games started coming out.
Will they start to charge for Gameloft live in the future? Frankly i don't mind as i've been paying for xbox live, i don't mind paying as long as the service is good.
Not really. The game seems to be using shaders in that build...not sure... (3Gs specific?), and, if so, then it is running things that PSP can't. For reference: [hqyoutube]tqXVnf5SnLU[/hqyoutube] Tried to get an outdoor FPS to compare. BTW...Medal of Honor is a great game for PSP.
Oh... Forgive me...took some medicine for a cold (hope it's a cold....). Kinda drowsy and a bit out of it.
I still say syphon filter (the first one) on the psp was fun as hell... I remember I used to play it and was first on leaderboards for a month(I bought the psp a while after this game came out)... And then that friggin chick Apple got to no. 1 on the leaderboards, I challenged her to a one-on-one, she kept talking to me on the mic... She sounded sexy and her voice distracted me. Chinese type+sawed off shotties=me winning. I hate Apple... both of them(but not their products) I was also first on MoH for psp... Sniper up close. Same with MGS: PO... Everyone thought I was hacking on MGSO, it was fun though... God I miss my psp now...
*Wow...You haven't played many PSP games then. MC: S was good for a phone, but it won't beat any PSP game; not even the demo of MoH.
Being a pspgamer myself i would say that mc:s looks as good as every psp shooter i played and nova far exceeds any psp shooter and i'm no longer including nds shooters into the equation. Plus i never enjoy the face button to aim set up for psp fps, the control scheme gameloft did for mc:s is second only to the metroid nds.
Boo I have nothing against PSP owners, I still own my PSP 2000 and use it from time to time, but I think good iPhone games should stay on the iPhone
I think it's good for the devs to go multi platform with their games, that way all will not be lost for their hardwork and investment should apple decided to decline their games. I'm all for competition so if pspgo and apple will compete for the same devs then i think it will force apple to rework their approval policy or hire more people! Without the threat of competition apple can be quite the snobish prom queen i know a lot of indie devs agree ( timo? Jd? Dave?)
I hate PSP users who come to iPhone forums and say that iPhone games are bullshit. iPhone is a phone. It is for calling, writing SMS, MMS, it has turn by turn GPS Apps, it is an iPod and it runns Mac OS X with Safari etc. PSP is a console. It is NOT a phone. So please stop that stupid discussion.
