im sure this ones just waiting in the long ass line of apps just about to be let loose in the app store....and we all know how awesome the app store is with all this stuff. haha i had a good day today......so im just thinkin positive here. itll be out soon.....just watch!
Its probably submitted. Gameloft never tells us when they submit stuff. like nfl 2010 came out of no where.
thats 6 days (less than a week) so it should be any time soon....I dont have enough iTunes credits so I better go get some before it comes out..
Game looks really nice, but I still think that some developers don't get it. Console like experiences can't work on a device like the touch or phone.
Or, just maybe Just maybe, perhaps even, some iDevice fans are the ones who "don't get it". People want console like experiences on their iPod or iPhone and Gameloft is going to do very well for themselves if they try to give them to us. This is a first day purchase for me. I don't even have to think twice. Also, if these type of games sell well enough you may just see some bigger developers get into the game of making iGames. But, by your logic, I guess it'd be a bad thing if Rockstar or Infinity ever decided to try out games for this platform, which is clearly unable to handle anything more than tic-tac-toe or hangman. I don't know about you guys but I can't wait for minesweeper! OK, I'm finished. You can go back to complaining about developers who try to make ambitious games now. Best, T.O.
Can't work?? They can and are working, in a lot of people's opinion. First of all, the "console" like games are only gonna improve from here, but I think a lot of iDevice owners would agree that not only are some of those games great now (especially considering they're being played on a cell phone), but they've already improved considerably since the first games of that type were made. You're entitled to your opinion, but I wouldn't expect many people (especially on TA) to agree with you. As I mentioned before, these games are being played on a cell phone/mp3 player, not a PSP, and I think that you, and many others, tend to forget that.
Aha your argument just got thrown in the trash. That's what's so great about the iPhone and iPod touch. You can play casual to intermediate to ardcore games for cheap prices. You're crazy if you think big 3d games can't be made. Just look at nfl10 and gangstar. Especially with the new faster devices. However I SERIOUSLY doubt this game will get online multiplayer. Unless there is some arcade mode with online high scores
I actually come to like these console like games on the iPhone more than console games in one way: Controls. I often hear people say how bad controls are on this device, but I couldn't disagree more. After playing Gangstar and a number of other console games, I find that by touching and tilting, I feel like I'm playing with the game. Not just playing it. That's why I love iphone gaming, and hope that console like games and new innovative original concepts keep coming out. I know I don't. The fact that he said "phone" I can easily disagree with. Games like GTA Vice City and Bioshock are for the Java Symbian. I forget it all the time. I've never had an MP3 player like this one before.
Actually, they announced it will in an upcoming update, as confirmed by people on this page previously. Please forgive Gameloft, as they made promises too long before they can prove them. It takes a while to make servers for online games. A somewhat long while.
Thanks, LBG. But as for which one would be better, Livefire or Sandstorm, I might wait till this one has multiplayer. Since NgMoco so far only promises up to four players in one room, I'll wait to see if Sandstorm allows more.
Did they specifically announce a multiplier BATTLE system? Gameloft has a way of being extremely vague. Like when they said you could pick up "women for hire" in gangstar when it's just a mission. Or when they said you'll be able to trade "goods" when you can only buy weapons
+1 The controls are a big part of what keeps me interested in iDevice gaming, especially with the bigger, console-type games. What I actually meant was, people tend to forget that these devices weren't made primarily for gaming, and how quickly they forget how impressive it is to have a 3-D free roaming GTA style game like Gangstar (for example) on their cell phone/mp3 player. As for what you were referring to, that actually happens to me all the time. I'm repeatedly amazed at the games i'm playing on my phone. So much so, that (like you mentioned) I sometimes forget that it's a phone at all.
+1.... again. I forget about it until I get a call lol. I started playing gangstar with airplane mode on so I'm not interrupted lol
WOW, thanks for posting that. I can't wait! Can't believe they even have the AK-47 and the SAW!!! Maybe since they released the trailer now, it'll be out later hehe, but I'm probably wrong.
