A trailer is a gift? WTF? Just for this, I will make a point of not buying any Gameloft titles for at least a year, even if they hit 99 cents. I really hope this BS bait tactic backfires for them.
Since when is calling a spade a spade having a sense of entitlement? Nobody here feels entitled to free or discounted games. I'm afraid many of the sales (that may or may not be scheduled for this) will be on games I already own. I've bought so many GL games. I'm pulling for a 99c Real Golf!
Looks like we're out of luck for #3. I found this on the Gameloft Australia twitter page: http://twitter.com/Gameloft_Aus/status/10588520737406976
Seems odd that they wouldn't make it free for iPhone as well, especially since they could use it as a way to promote the upcoming release of DH2. Oh well. I already have it anyways.
Yeah, who knows what tomorrow will bring though. On a side note, getting a kick out of the fact that some users on certain android handsets (Nexus One, Fascinate, Desire.. and more..) are having issues downloading the app, prompting Gameloft to apologize on twitter. Just more mounting evidence on why Android's a fragmented mess.
So they lied, No gift for us on Dec 3rd Makes me wonder how many iOS days are left in there. I feel sorry for those who bought an Android device. People are having trouble even installing this old game left to right. Most of my friends who bought an Android phone are waiting for the iPhone 5.
They didn't "lie." Tomorrow might even be a facebook something. Since I don't use facebook I have no clue what that might be but they seem to be spreading the wealth across platforms and it is not an iOS exclusive give away.
I'm not big on facebook games either but I wonder what they could even do for the facebook games. I only seen one game they have for facebook and I assume it's a freemium game like all other facebook games. What could they offer, except maybe offer a sale on whatever in-game items you can buy with real money. Edit- They could be making there facebook game available on the iphone, I don't see it on there now. I hope not though.
I dunno how Facebook works but if it is freemium stuff then that would be covered in their "Special, free in-game content?" statement. Like on We Rule, if you logged in a certain day you got a lump of mojo for free that day just for logging in. Something like that? (I don't even know the game they have on facebook that is how Facebook illiterate I am so I could be totally off base, just guessing and assuming they will run through all their platforms equally if possible)
I just did a little searching and noticed that Gameloft has a new facebook game, "Green Farm". Apparently it's their Farmville clone with an items shop of course. I wouldn't be suprised if one of the giveaways are free items or discounts for the game. It seems like Gameloft really wants to split up the "prsents" so I wouldn't be suprised if the next gift is facebook related, most likely in game items. I can't see any other way they'd give away exclusive in game items as I don't believe their iOS/Andriod/Windows 7 games have IAP. I may be way off, but I don't expect another iPhone sale or free game until Sunday or Monday.
