Looks like the Android folks are complaining on twitter about the iPhone only gift. The vast majority of Gameloft games are for iPhone and the majority of sales for smartphone games are for iPhone (I've read that Gameloft makes far more on iPhone games vs. Android games), so the majority of gifts better be for iPhone users.
New Gameloft tweet: http://twitter.com/gameloft/status/10053152715837440 I have a feeling today was a good way for them to draw people in, but future days are going to be underwhelming. Get ready for trailers and $.99 sales for what I expect will be the majority of the days.
It would be nice if maybe - and it's a big maybe - that some of those discounts at least will be on newer games like Black Pegasus and Spiderman.
I'd love that. MC2 and Spiderman are on my wish list. I wouldn't mind seeing Gangstar 2 or Star Battalion discounted either.
Looks like the Dec 2 "gift" will be a trailer for StarFront: Collision. The video is currently marked as private on YouTube.
Oh right, I guess I missed that. I thought it was only content/games. I've not had an interest in this new game anyway, so still a bit boring!
A trailer is not a gift. Meh. (hey look, get excited about this game we plan to sell you in the future! Merry Xmas bitches!) Let's see Real Golf for under 5 bucks please.
Did you even bother reading the OP? "What can you get? A free game to play on your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Android device, or on Facebook? Exclusive sneak peeks or cool goodies for our hottest upcoming Christmas games? Crazy game discounts? Special, free in-game content?"
Cool, Gameloft is at least innovative in making a trailer as an appvent event. Just hope others won't follow suit, I don't want to see FreeTrailerADay.
Damn. Guess I should stop designing this web page for that then. And I really thought it would catch on...
