  1. His status says "In time-out." Hard to lie about that.

    I don't get why everyone is so angry. I mean it was so blatantly obvious in the beginning. You'd best be angry with yourself for believing it.

    They probably are, 'cause it's really not much of a big deal. hardcoregamer's stunts were far more annoying.

    How on earth are people feeling sorry for someone who blatantly lied, then lied again to explain why he lied in the first place?

    I had enough interactions with the kid to know that he was a decent enough guy, just, apparently, starved for attention. In the grand scheme of things, lying about working at Gameloft is fairly innocuous, especially if, like me, you cared about it only to the extent that it was good news for him. All in all, I find the whole incident more pathetic than outrageous.

    That said, the rule is there for a very good reason, and the fact that he's in time-out is definitely justified.

  9. We're not feeling sorry for him for what he did, but for how empty his life must be to have thought even for a moment that doing it was a good idea to begin with. I mean, even teens (and I'm still assuming he's a teen here) perform some rudimentary risk-reward assessment when they decide to do something, so for him to have thought for that brief time that the rewards of pretending to be hired by Gameloft (attention, adulation) outweighed the risks and consequences of getting caught in the lie (anger, ostricisation) ... well, it's not weapons-grade, "hey y'all, hold my beer and watch this" stupid enough to laugh at, and it's not "we know you should have known better" stupid enough to be pissed and disappointed at. It's just ... sad in a dog-pooped-on-the-rug-while-company-was-over-and-then-looked-ashamed sort of way.

    One of the mods is definitely having fun renaming all these forums... It's kind of annoying because I actually try to follow a few -_-;

    oh jeez.......
    yall need to get over it. yea, so he lied, and his credibility is shot. who cares? i assume half of what is said around the internet is false. why bother banning him? its pointless in the end. from here on out we can choose to believe him or not. anyone pushing for a ban is just being vindictive anyway. i mean, what did any of us even lose by believing him (if you even did in the first place)? nothing!

    again, who gives a sh!t anyway?!?

    Me.
    Simple thing: I want to trust the people on TA, have trust in their opinions about the quality of games and also trust in the folks I am dealing with.
    The behaviour Fruho showed is therefore not acceptable.

    And to make as simple as I can: Liars suck.

    - Don't insult people - if you can't keep yourself from insulting others, you don't belong here

    So is insulting people, but you didn't do anything to those people. they need a time out as well.

    Normally, a time-out lasts 3-5 days.

    Fruho after you get out of time out, do you want to make a bet that you tell people you got hired by playboy and see if they believe it? If you pull this off you can have 2 dollars, a half eaten sandwich and a couple tickets for chuck e. Cheeses. How does that sound?
