Well, the reasoning might be specious, but he still came in and admitted he lied in no uncertain terms. My guess is he simply wanted to drum up some geek cred by claiming that a big company wanted him for talents he doesn't have. But pretending to be more than you are pretty much describes the majority of teenhood. When he grows up and actually becomes good at something he'll realize how ridiculous he was way back when, but when you're a teen whose sphere of knowledge and experience is barely the size of a testicle you can get a little desperate when you're surrounded by other people who fill out their trousers.

Same here mate, the one thing I really dislike is lying or finding out someone is lying. Not that someone lying on the Forum counts for much, I'm talking about personal life.
I can't tell if you guys are joking about the ban, but you realise he didn't impersonate any individual except himself or the company right? He did make a fake announcement of sorts, but because that part is tagged on with the rules about not impersonating, I would be inclined to think it pertains to announcements regarding games or game companies; whereas this fake announcement was pretty much about himself and not really worthy of a ban. It's okay fruho, I'll still be your friend... if you give me 50 bucks
Sort of impossible to say at this point, isn't it? 26 is a bit late in life to still be pulling retarded stunts like that. By that age I'd largely grown out of the angsty teenaged BS and was setting my life straight, as had most of the people I knew. This sort of lying to impress is usually reserved either for teens who are still trying to find themselves or younger men who are trying to get laid. (And even in the case of the latter, there are a billion more impressive lies you could tell. And anyway, I don't think he was trying to get laid by a forum member. At least, I hope not...) I'm a guy. That's a given.
