And I quote: "one of the reason i joined and registered to TA is because of my big disappointment to gameloft and all of their crap games(not pop and conviction) and would like to share it to other members so they dont jump into the same hole as i do."
I'm pretty sure you can get all of those lite versions on the Iphone, and put them on your Ipad. They won't be HD but you seem to only care about gameplay if you want demos Personally, I'm ok with their games! They're one of the first developers I've come across and I've liked every game they've made. So far I've bought 10 of their games (9 were from the $1 sale, 1 was $5, so technically I only payed $14) and I have no regrets about buying them. But if people here don't think they're good for idevice games, that only means there are way better games out there. Which is good for me, being new to the iPhone games world!
You right it was released by ubisoft... It s also 53mo not 20mo(even worst) But you surely know ubisoft and gameloft are sister company...???
About the demo, yes no HD demo and what? There's the iphone demo. Currently almost all demo are only iphone version, the iphone version is more than enough to get a feel of the gameplay of the game. For me it worked fine for those I tried the demo and I bought the HD. I got much more unpleasant surprise from few other developers making a special HD version but disappointing the demo iphone version not showing it, like Super Ball 3 HD with bad fps or Paper Breaker for a game totally different than what show the iphone demo.
Lol you bought 90% of Gameloft games and are disappointed? Quite comical you couldn't detect from the demo that you would not like those games. Admit that this seems very suspecting.
hi guys, here is some data fron PoP Retro and BIA2. Gameloft/ubisoft games are certainly bloated, and here is why : - you can extract the .ipa of Prince of Persia:Retro. You'll see that the uncompressed file is 76.5mb, with the sound folder being 62.1mb. All the sounds are WAV files, not midi or AAC. So the game itself is not that big (the PC version was less that 1mb, but this is the Mac version and has much better graphics and textures.) - I also checked for Brother in Arms 2 iphone and intro movies are very small : 5.9mb, plus 5.9 mb for the flipped version (WTF??) But again, huge sounds file (170mb), textures (65mb), sprites for iphone4 (61mb0 and sprites for older iphone (15mb) and so on.
yea, what i concern about is the gameplay is good or not. if it's good, i dun mind playing a rip off lol
+1 I don't support rip-offs either, no matter whether the rip-off is better or not. And I can sense some Gamelofts' in this forum.
That's why you don't buy the 8 gb iPod. It's a waste if money considering the retina display games are a bigger filesize.
I think there are some problems 1) People expect gameloft games to be console quality. I dont for $7.99 , I just want the game to be good. 2) Some people cant beat thier games and then get angry saying I hate gameloft. 3) Some people buy it at a higher price , then it drops to 99 cents. I will just tackle the 1st problem. Besides Deadspace and final fantasy3 there is no console quality games for iphone/ipod. If you think your going to get console quality for 99 cents , then in all honesty your extremely stupid. Do yourself a favor and dont buy thier games please , I beg you. That way we dont have to here compliants.
It is the case. I couldn't agree more. Hope Gameloft can do better with compression in future games. I'm very worried about "Order and Chaos" that is supposed to be released this month. It's so epic that it really needs compression. I hope Gameloft comes up with a good solution.
