All I said there was 'Eliminate = running around shooting mindlessly'. I didn't say it sucked. I am not a troll. I dislike Eliminate. I like Rolando and Rolando 2. I like Topple. I like Dropship. I like ngmoco (although I hated them for what they did with Eliminate). Errr, no it hasn't. I am starting to wonder if you evem what 'FPS' stands for.
you already admitted to eliminate being your first fps. you say you don't want a mindless run and gun shooter which is what eliminate is. it's you and 3 people in an arena jumping around shooting each other for no real reason with no real story except you're employees for a testing company. modern combat, a game with relatively high production values for an iphone game, with a story, progressive levels, and actual tactics that's currently the closest to feeling like a modern day console shooter is recommended to you, and yet you target the word typical and write it off like it's a mindless boring shooter. even though, again, you're brand new to the genre and couldn't possibly have formed a personal opinion already. you're already closing your mind to legit recommendations and you're just making it hard on yourself to enjoy a new genre. i would highly recommend checking out free lite versions of some fps titles such as modern combat so you can actually have a taste of something before writing it off in your inexperience.
Which would be your big chance to finally be nude around a female. I mean, barring the time you slipped free of your mother's womb. Anyways. ATTN Gameloft fangirls: Your favorite games suck hard. Modern Combat is garbage. Assassin's Creed is a garbage port of a garbage DS game. Oregon Trail is a mobile port and shows. blah blah blah blah. Look, it's cool if Mom or Dad won't let you pick up Halo or COD4 because of the M rating- we all understand that. Just please try and refrain from your sad Gameloft rideordying, and admit that you're so <3<3<3 for garbage because it's the only crap you can get without a parental chaperon escort into your local Walmart.
There was no need for that. If you had read my last post, you would understand that I dislike Eliminate, not ngmoco. ngmoco make both good and bad games. Gameloft make both good and bad games. Simple as that.
the reason i didnt think Eliminate was typical of FPSes was because i was looking at the upgrade system as being a form of customization and and character building. I am a HUGE RPG fan. But you do have a point there, about me not having played a whole lot of FPSes. i downloaded the free version of that Modern Combat thing and am trying it out as we speak. So far its been...mildly frustrating.
Sorry, I don't quite understand what it is that you want. Could you please specify what exactly you want, and I will be happy to help you. Thanks, LBG
that wasn't a question... that was a response, to the other guy. I'm not sure why your asking this, since you seem to have already answered my questions..unless you have something else to add?
Read the eliminate thread, matchmaking is busted/ broken! And if you have money you can always convert energy into credits! I faced level 2 guys with a freaking rocket launcher and fully upgraded armor!
@beach you haven't played that much and it shows, you have a point but will be more effective if you get your facts right! Still matchmaking is very funny when it matches me with players 10 levels above me and it is frustrating when they shield camp When it works it's really fun!
Assassins creed was terrible, if you deny that it is obvious you are a fan boy. Gameloft's games dont hav replayability at all. you are ,once again, a fanboy. Assassins creed has two portions- jump and hack like crazy. I'd prefer bad games to be short. Its such a mindless game. Also its more of a platformer with eye candy.
I honestly felt like there wasnt much left in MC after I beat it. Beating it again seemed tedious. The strategy is the same as COD, use cover. Now if you think eliminate has no strategy then you must spend money on powercells. I havent spenta dime and cant compete with the players that have, yet I still beat them. Even though they are 20+ levels higher than me.how? strategy, no not shield hogging but strategy. Those powerups are my lifeline. I dont run into a battle mindlessly shooting like a retard, no I find my opponent, see if he has a power up if so find one myself, or if not attack him. MY attack is usually a hard hitting shotty blast with should basically win the battle for me. I have played Halo (all three of them), I have played COD 3,4 and 5. I have played rainbow six:vegas one and two. I have played left 4 dead. These are few among many other games I mooched off my friends who have no lives. You can note that all these have different tactics. halo: run and gun; find a good gun use it. COD: use cover and specific perks. Rainbow six: out wait your opponent or use their cover against them (Trust me im really good at RS:V). Left 4 dead: stick together or die. etc.etc. You'll find that all these games have strategies, no matter how much you try to ignore them. It is obvious you are a gameloft fanboy acustom to putting other games down on a daily basis. actuallly I doubt you are but that post really made me feel as though you are one of those app store reviewers who write "controls are too hard it sux lololol" or "this is a gay game cuz i dont has 3.0". Please learn a game before spewing out your opinions. Eliminate is anything but a mindless shooter, I discovered plenty of people who played it like that but they suck. Now I admit that MC multiplayer would be amazing, its just that you gotta give props where it is deserved.
