The devs or spokeperson for the games create the hype by promising great games that we all want with huge breakthroughs in iPhone gaming well before knowing if they can even pull it off, but we all all naturally get exited thinking they can do it and are continuously let down when they don't, Yet we still get excited for the next one hoping they finally did pull it off. Its only natural, if there was no hype then there would be no excitement!
They hate it because they are terrible at it. God did not bless them with fast reflexes. Eliminate is a fast paced shooter very similar to Unreal Tournament, so if your minute brain couldnt handle UT, then Eliminate is not for you. You should plrobably stick with something as slow as MC:S. But, in terms of gameplay and replayability Eliminate is far superior to MC:S. No matter what you Gameloft junkies say, it doesnt change the truth. I am not a hater, I even own MC:S, but Eliminate is just better......Nuff Said!! Oh and by the way, what makes you say that Gamelofts online will be better??? Did they tell you this, or is this just some pointless thread created to bash NGMOCO? Gameloft has done nothing in the past but release cheap versions of console games, so what makes them so incredible?
you are going to have to know that mc sandstorm and nova are not going to have stuff like upgrading your suits. its just gameplay. you have to admit that how gamelfts online systems will be nowhere as good as eliminates!!!!!!
Why can't we like both? Why does there always have to be this constant battle? You can't really compare Gameloft with ngmoco anyway. Ngmoco is the underdog, they have a small studio in SF, 30 something employees, etc. Gameloft is an international empire of sorts, studios all around the world, thousands of employees and a global identity.
we still can't compare them coz Gameloft's are not yet released and MC and eliminate ar different types of FPS Eliminate is futuristic and MC is modern but i really hope MC will have a faster pace when the online update comes but not as fast as Eliminate,CS pace would be good
Lol at least compare games with each other. All the devs can produce good games once in a while. You make it sound like gameloft always make good game or mnmoko. This is as stupid as letting gamezise be the one factor judging how good a game is. =)
okay, no. i was someone who never bothered to post in the eliminate threads given that i felt the videos for it looked mediocre, and i'm not a fan of anything that praises money over actual skill. and i have to tell you, hype did nothing for me with eliminate. it was the controls that killed that awful experience for me. first person twitch games need tight controls, and those are the floatiest controls i have ever had the displeasure of experiencing on the iphone. the pricing of the energy cells on top of everything else is just bizarre, but that's a different topic. i also don't find it smart to outright claim that one game's multiplayer will be automatically better when it's not even out. but in the least bit, gameloft's games control much tighter and will come down to pure skill. not who has the most time and/or money to upgrade their crap.
I preached this to high heavens months ago and i was branded a persona non grata by ngmoco fans! They claimed buying energy won't be a factor, that it's still up to skill! Well what do you guys think now? DLC anyone?
Okay, new iPhone owner here, ive been lurking on these forums for a week or so,but i registered to weigh in on this. First of all, let me say that i really didn't like FPSes up until now. But, I heard of Eliminate through Plus+ on my Skee-Ball, and since it was free, I downloaded it. I never would have thought I'd be having so much fun with an FPS before. I don't think the fact that you pay for extra energy is that big of an issue. I found that i could beat people at a higher level than me, and have my butt kicked by people at a lower level, so that makes me think its more about skill than getting credits for upgrades.. at least since as far as i know, levels are dependent on credits too. Also, Eliminate is at least moderately interesting to me, with the upgrading and achievements and all. I haven't played Modern Combat yet, but it looks just the same as every other boring FPS on the planet.
When you have a level 2 riffle and you go toe to toe with someone who has a fully upgraded shotgun... you will be blown into smitherins no matter how good you are! A well aimed headshot won't even dent a fully upgraded armor while a lucky pot shot will blow your light armor to pieces! Put your plus+ here and i'll show you what i mean!
