they're average IMO considering how big of a part of the gaming appstore they're contributing. the only games I enjoyed was Let's Golf! which was really really fun when I first started playing iPhone games. their big titles like NOVA and BIA are meh. fps games just don't work on the iphone period. anyone who disagrees is wrong.
You're wrong. I have a lot of fun playing a game like Eliminate or COD. A touchscreen isn't the perfect solution but neither is a gamepad. FPS are truly meant to be played on a keyboard and mouse. As for Gameloft, there is something seemingly missing in their games. People may not like the freemium strategy of Eliminate, but that game is always being updated and they work in those updates as part of the storyline. After Gameloft releases a game there really are no significant updates. The only exception was Sandstorm which is their best game. NOVA was fun but it got boring really quickly. I just got a dull feeling playing online. Many of the big name companies are now starting to release their major titles now for the iPhone and it may hurt Gameloft unless they can distinguish themselves.
your brain is altered by the drugs !! gameloft is a crappy big french studio with no talent, gameloft is an insult in the industry of video game, gameloft has never creates innovative games, gameloft takes advantage of the " situation " to adapt major titles for only one aim take the money from naive pimply kid.
I see where this is going, the indies make better games yadayadayada and Wait isn't making money the whole point of the video game bussiness? What game studio makes games for charity? It's a freaking bussiness, in bussiness the end is all about the $$$ deal with it!
gameloft games make me sick, they are like the walmart of game developers. No attention to details... most of the titles are made somewhere else in a development country since the labor is cheap and to maximize profits... so they simply publish it and give a low % to the actual developer. Capitalist a love story
I'd rather have Big Blockbuster Unoriginal games with lots of production value as well as small indie games which focus on art and originality rather than controls and graphics than have just small time indie developers. This way I can get a decent game to wow my friends AND support indie developers. Also, Gameloft controls rock.
Gameloft does kind of suck. They're really good at graphics, music, controls, and sound effects, but they're one of the worst when it comes to basic storytelling and voice acting. If you need an example of this, look no further than Blades of Glory. I only buy their ports, or the games that they were hired by someone else to do.

Well said. Gameloft makes high quality games that justifies their asking price. That makes them a respectable developer in my point of view.
haha what are you on about? Where did you get that? your making them sound like they get slave labour from starving children. Game developing is a skilled labour, they employ people for money, most (if not all) of the developers working for gameloft will have a tertiary education and wont be getting ripped off in the way your making it sound. But yea some of their games do feel slightly lacking in depth, but they are the best on the platform at the moment. And until that changes me and quite a lot of other people are going to continue buying their games
their graphics and controls are great of course but I feel that some of their games are lacking in depth, the get quite boring after a while
You people who think that gameloft sucks really make me sick! i agree that some of their games seem like they have been released in a rush,but if they didnt make iphone games we wouldnt have a full 3d avatar game but some avatar themed puzzle popping junk.and i dont even wanna start about bia2!its true that the view distance in gt racing makes me sick also but at least they brought a full racing expiriance with many tracks rather than the 3-track nfss.and would you see rayman on the idevice if it wasnt for them?and im especially happy about that announcement in wich they said that now they have been given permission to port every ubisoft game!!
