just read the latest news. Great Eli is part of it

A great idea. There’s loads of older iOS games I would love to see reborn. They’re just sitting there gathering dust. If someone can update them to 64 bit that’ll be brilliant

I think gaming preservation is great all around. I wish gameclub all the best.

They do realise that if they make work again and update Dungeon Raid.... they will be the praise of the community (myself included)

Hope they do it :D :D

Really hope it works out. I think it could as theyre sat on a treasure trove of old classic iOS games which are basically doing nothing. I dont know how hard/easy it is to convert to 64 bit (presume its not super easy or lots of devs would have updated their games) but as Eli said in the interview, when games are making a dollar or two now they wont bother updating them.

We've become a spoilt bunch of gamers, you hear people moan tons about their favourite game and why it hasnt been updated 2 years later when basically sales for that game have halted months ago.

I hope lots of us put our money where our mouth is and start buying premium priced games if theyre re-released (if thats the model they choose). Should be interesting. Just a complete waste all these old classic ios games doing nothing. Old DOS games have been re released and you can play them under Dosbox so for me playing classics from the early 90's again is great. Hope they can do the same for old iOS games. Think how many good games are just sat there dormant for years since the 64 bit disaster

    Who‘s going to be Eli‘s successor as touchArcade‘s editor-in-chief?

I believe it will be Jared, though I could be wrong.

Haha, that’s good to know! :)

As for Eli and Gameclub, I’m pretty excited to learn more (and to play Hook Champ again)!

There are so many great games from iOS past that have disappeared even from my purchase/hidden lists; it’d be a shame for them to fade into obscurity.

Coin Drop (Full Fat) Would love to see this released again. Just like Peggle, but was $0.99 back in the day. No wonder why it was almost impossible to make a profit.
