Hey, I recently saw a post saying that GameCenter won't be available for 1st and 2nd Gen iPod touch and iPhone 3G and 3GS. Is this true?

I can understand they have a great sense of business, but people have been waiting for this for months, and they built up all this hype, then told everyone they need a new ipod/iphone for it! Apple is getting to me!

Money Money Money.... and maybe it's not compatible with previous models for certain reasons.

For the iOS4 beta I had gamecenter installed on my 2nd Gen iPod, and it worked like a charm. I don't see why it's not compatible. Odd

Game center is compatible with iPod touch 2nd gen and iPhone 3GS.

Not iPhone 3G or any first gen devices.

    2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen iPods

    3rd and 4th gen iPhones

I was going to say. I can understand the iPhone 3G and 1st Gen iPod Touch but 3GS? No way.
