To be honest, one of the most thought provoking experiences I've had on an iOS device has been playing through Infinity Blade over and over. Seriously. Every time I play I notice some different things about the environments, enemies, weapons, naming conventions etc. And every time more and more story develops in my mind about its universe, characters and such. The lack of a story and the impressively imagined world culminate in a rich experience for the imagination. Going in to the dungeons for the first time was quite the experience, and making my way to the lords was awesome. The atmosphere was practically palpable.
That's an interesting take on the subject... if we're going down that route I'd suggest Sword of Fargoal too. At first glance there's little to no story whatsoever, but as you play you more or less create your own. Let your imagination run free and there's no limit
I really enjoy games that tell their story through means other than narrative and exposition. These kinds of games plant seeds in your subconscious that slowly grow as you progress and play through the game. You realize that you've entered in to a richly defined and well though out world. Every item has a history and reason about it.
Ayt thanks for the suggestions. I got Aralon since it looked like Morrowind/Oblivion. Planning to get GTA, Sword of Fargoal and Chaos Rings but that price is kinda high lol. About Chaos Rings, there's a new one out. So do i need to get the first one to understand the second/ prequel i think? Also thinking about infinity blade, which looks like it's on rails. Is it?
