      Can anyone reccommend a really good game trailer? I need inspiration.
      What makes a good trailer?
      What elements does it need to have?

      you need to make the viewer want to play the game:
      so only put awesome part of the game(duh!)
      Not everything so there are still so surprises
      Add good music and an interesting price+ positive reviews if you have some from testers

      If you want some inspiration for your trailer, have a look at those who do this best: the film makers.
      Basically a trailer works the same way. Like movies it depends on the kind of movie/game, your target group and all the other factors. Regarding the dramaturgy I would definately have a look at movie trailers.

      You can look at some successful games and movies trailers and see why they are so great. It's hard to say what is wrong or right, but just make sure you put the correct content for the viewer so that they really want to get it.
