Ever since TA stopped rating games (really, what's up with that?), I've missed their monthly round-up of the best games. However, October was such a great month for iPhone gaming that I just couldn't resist highlighting the best 10 games and letting the TA community vote on their favorite. Who knows, maybe this will become a monthly tradition on the forums. UPDATE: Voting is now closed! The Touch Arcade community has spoken and the winner, with 39 votes, is... Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus! Second place, with 32 votes, goes to: Game Dev Story! And, taking home the bronze medal, with 22 votes: Cut the Rope! I've only played 2 of the ones above and out of those, I'd say Game Dev Story. Modern Combat 2 sounds great tho.

Because it's awesome. Oh, no! Sorry about that. I tried as hard as I could to not miss a great game, but I guess RR kinda slipped by.

1. Galaxy on Fire 2 2. Modern Combat 2 3. Cut the Rope 4. Samurai II 5. Sonic 4 I vote Galaxy on Fire 2 for October's best. Modern Combat 2 has the best action and graphics, but Galaxy on Fire 2 has better depth and originality. It's the epic space RPG I've been waiting for.
Game Dev Story all the way. Yes it's a really barebones cellphone port. But the underlying gameplay is more fun than anything else that came out recently.

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe next month you can take nominations first so that none of the games get left out. Looks like a lot of people think Age of Zombies and Reckless Racing should be on this list so a nomination process would fix those kinds of titles from being left out in the future. Just a thought. I voted Modern Combat 2. I've bought GoF2 but haven't had time to get around to it yet. Hopefully it's fantastic.
Well that's a selection and it seems solid, and you even already sort them. Funnily I haven't played any of them, but it's a lot because I tend delay big hypes (oops I mean High fames). And some other are very recent releases, there's even some I haven't noticed the name yet.
