    Title:
    -Mr Gnome
-could also be named "Gnome Madness"?
-as a precaution I tried to look up "Mr. Gnome" or even "Gnome" in the appstore no such app with a gnome theme or title exists as of yet :) I'm not sure if there are any squatters though...

    Art Style:
-silly cell shaded garden gnomes with cute comical animations and most importantly great music & hilarious sound effects

    Marketing/Back Story:
"Meet Mr. Gnome. Once a happy go lucky care-free dedicated garden gnome, driven to the brink of insanity by standing around for years doing absolutely nothing (and/or being completely ignored/neglected). He's had enough. Mr. Gnome is not going to take it anymore. You have been warned!"

    Gameplay:
    - A 3D line-drawing destruction puzzle game (if that makes any sense)
-You can spawn more Gnomes by simply tapping a "plus button" and viola another gnome will appear on the map
-You also get "Gnome Power Ups" that have very comical and interesting gameplay mechanics to them.
-Adding arcade style elements to this idea: in that Mr Gnome only has X amount of gnomes he can deploy until he racks up X amount of property damage. The more property damage you accumulate the more gnomes you get to deploy. Perhaps gamer's could even upgrade/customize Mr Gnome?
-Every object in the game could be destructible and have its own HP stats
-Enemies will be a mix of humans and animals and they can be both map/event specific and/or just randomly generated.
-An example of map/event specific enemies would be like having the gnomes break a fence that's housing a pit bull. Once the fence is destroyed the pit bull is released and will devastate your gnomes for X amount of seconds before running off and leaving the map.
-gnomes cant really attack the enemies you just have to endure the enemy until it runs off the map or use a power up to prevent the enemy from taking out your deployed gnomes
    -Time limit?
-Best way to describe the gameplay experience is by calling it an "actiony destruction puzzler". In that one could design levels in a way that forces the gamer to think about how to go about destroying everything on the map. If you get tactical with your mayhem and choose to destroy a certain object or chain of objects in a particular order there could be a domino effect of destruction that does massive extra collateral bonus damage.

    Gnome Power-ups:
-Gnome Bomb: spawn a gnome with a bomb attached to it. the bomb has a timed fuse and you have to directly control the gnome via a virtual joystick to designate where you want the gnome bomb to run to before it explodes but of course the gnome is freaking out about the bomb and tries to auto run in random directions if you dont keep the virtual joystick tilted.
-Gnome Missile: several reticles will appear on the screen with timers. You have to quickly drag them around and designate where you want them to be launched when the countdown is finished the gnome missile is automatically launched. which means if you're not swift when targeting your gnome missiles they will be wasted.
-Gnome Twister: perhaps once you have 3 or 4 gnomes in a cluster there will be a chance of getting this power up once activated the gnomes will begin to run in a frantic circle creating a powerful tornado of gnomes which you get to control via tilt for X amount of seconds destroying everything in its path
-Gnome Nuke: a mini puzzle parody of the infamous red nuke button. basically 3 sets of two nuke buttons will appear on the screen in random spots you have to get 3 in a row and have X amount of seconds to complete it otherwise you will fail and the nuke will not be launched. a set is made up of two nuke launch buttons when the red buttons appear on the screen you have to tap both of them simultaneously in real time within X amount of seconds if you do it right there will be a ding noise and the next set will appear. if you do it wrong there will be a buzzer and the first set will be refreshed and you will have to try it over again. get it right and viola a huge gnome will drop onto the map creating a mushroom cloud of destruction.
-additional power ups without gameplay mechanics involved: giant gnomes, crazy gnome, other ideas?
-there could also be penalties for one reason or another that make your gnomes really slow or very fragile
-strategic use of power ups is key to the gameplay. you would ideally want to save them for eliminating enemies and/or use specifically for very large heavily fortified objects

    list of thoughts:
-game world would be top down
-basically you spawn a gnome and draw a line to designate what you want it to destroy
-perhaps you do all of that while directly controlling Mr Gnome ?

    might share more thoughts later...
